great season from both squads. coaching is going to be key for both sports next year since they will both be very young teams. alot of great seniors are leaving the football and basketball teams and will be hard to replace. i am not going to have high expectations for either team. let me rephrase that... i dont see either team making a drastic improvement. on the football field, we will have pretty much no experience at QB and LB (besides jeremiah george) and our o-line has to do a better job opening up the running game. we have to establish a pass rush, which we havent had for years. my goal is a bowl game. i dont see us getting to the 8 wins we all want. not this year anyways.
on the hardwood (haha hard wood), i dont see us making the big dance. we lose way too many important players (babb, lucious, clyburn, tyrus, booker). there are just too many question marks. maurice jones not being able to play will hurt. some freshmen will have to step in and play important roles. i guess it can be called a rebuilding year. i think we will get to the NIT, but this is just a guess at this point. better to have lower expectations and over-achieve when it comes to a young team i suppose
