Can someone, anyone, give me one bright spot in this program? One reason to be excited about this basketball? Any indication we may be headed in the right direction?

Nope. But insider sources have confirmed that we are headed in the right direction, though the reasons can't be made public at this time.

There, that should make you feel better! :jimlad:

I just hope Greg is fired before its too late and GMAC drives the fan base away. Fans that have had season tickets for years are going to be dropping and it is going to be hard to ever get them back donating at the level they were. I just hope they at least put that money towards football.

This may be true but, if it is, it's not exactly a ringing endorsement of Mac.

Bingo.... Who recruited and offered this head case and cancer a free ride at ISU? Sorry but when we recruit a kid aren't the coaches building relationships with the players? Don't they get to know them? Didn't we just offer a kid that signed with UW-M who many were calling a head case and a cancer? Interesting.

I guess I look at a Scholly offer as the staff giving their word to a player that they are joining the Cyclone family and that they will help them, teach them, and guide them to be better players, better teammates, and better men. Instead our head coach ran to the media and verbally assaulted CC who is an 18 or 19 year old kid. Then when he needed that kid he against his own morals put him back on the court. What a great example he set. Why should any of our players value their commitment to the program when our coach can't keep his word.

Let's face it.... The staff failed CC. I thought that he was given expectations by GMAC and that he had met those expectations and had made tremendous progress? Didn't GMAC state publicly that CC had done a great job proving he was a good teammate, etc.... Now he is labeled a cancer and it is great he is gone? Strange.... this kind of flip flop garbage is exactly what Justin Hamilton's dad was talking about. Same thing that WJ was talking about when asked why he left. Am I driving the point home for some of you yet?

So, KG, who is the next guy out? I give it 2 weeks before we've lost someone else. My guess...we return 5 scholarship players from a team that lost 1 senior. What a joke.

The program is in good hands

No, it is most definitively not. Quit telling us that it is while offering us absolutely no proof or even opinions why it is.

This reminds me of that song lyric, something like "Who are you going to beleive? Me or your own lying eyes?"

He's mocking a nameless poster who infamously said two weeks ago that the program was "in good shape", but that person actually meant it.

Al, I know exactly what he is referring to. I suppose I should have thrown a :jimlad: at the end.

I am still amazed how everyone is focusing on whether a specific player leaving the program is a good thing or a bad thing. The truth of the matter is that way too many players leave this program and you can't be competitive with this type of revolving roster. It doesn't matter the reason, the coach either did a poor job in his recruiting of the player who left, failed to develop him once he was there, discovered he was a bad apple and showed him the door or in the case of a valuable player with no issues managed to run them off. The particulars don't matter, what does matter is this is no way to run a program and it all falls on the coach and the athletic director. The coach must go!!!!

I think there is a light bulb with a higher wattage than the rest in the ceiling of Hilton. Mysteriously placed there by a source to be named later...
