Nigel Johnson leaving Kansas State

By the way, has anybody read if KST gave Foster an unconditional release? Can he go anywhere (except he wouldn't want to go to a Big12 school to lose eligibility)? Just curious, after the buttholes at Missouri just restricted the Big12 for Jonathan Williams' release. Think that's crap.

I actually think TCU will be pretty good next year. They did not have a great record this year, but they played most teams down to the wire. They were young, but talented and I think Trent is a decent coach. I believe a team that will outperform expectations next year.

You realize that they lose 3 of their top 4 players?
Granted, I think Johnson is turning around TCU, but they still have a long ways to go.

edit: Sighclone beat me to at while I was looking at stats.

It's now the second stop where this has happened with Weber. I wonder what it is.

His recruiting hasn't been all that bad at KSU, and it wasn't at Illinois, either. But he definitely has gotten some wildly inconsistent results, from 1st place Big Ten finishes his first two years and playing in the national title game to finishing ninth three years later, recovering to get back in the tournament with top half Big Ten finishes for a couple years, then finishing 9th again. At KSU he finished first with his team his first season and 5th and tied for 6th in the following two years. The trend is not his friend. I don't know if player defections were an issue at Illinois, but he failed to seal the deal with a couple high profile recruits there (ie Derrick Rose) and that was as much his undoing as anything.

I think Steve Henson will be the next coach at KSU -- which means I will hate Purple Kitty EVEN MORE than I do now (if that is possible).

I only believe Kstate news when it is written in purple comic sans, waiting for surly to confirm transfer.
