Nick Noskowiak

What kind of minutes will he likely play first year?

I'd expect he doesn't see much time at all after the non con. I'm guessing he's the third option at PG behind Cooke. And when Monte is playing 35 mins a game there just isn't going to be much time to go around.

Should be good for him. He won't have much pressure on him and he gets a year to grow and get acclimated to college ball.

hopefully he is ready to contribute right away so Morris doesn't have to play as many minutes. Or maybe he will be getting minutes because they are crushing teams.

I could see it both ways. He could step up big. Considering he is our PG in waiting they are going to want to get him as many live minutes as they can to just learn from situations. Think about the BYU game for monte. Remember how he got trapped and turned the ball over and almost did again to cost us that game when they pressed? He learned a lot from that and knows how to handle this situations a lot better now and be ready for it. Hard to teach some of that stuff sometime you gotta live it.

I was kind of thinking the same thing, that's why I narrowed it down to conference play. I think in the non con you could see him thrown into some games before garbage time just to get his feet wet and see what he can do. But I think winning now is the priority next season so I'd be surprised if you see much of it in big 12 play.

If he does work his way into the rotation next year I'll be pretty high on the kids future.

i can't believe some people on here. The level of stupid is astounding

In hindsight lots of stupid in this thread too. Lots of people so confident that Custer was going to get some good minutes.

Nothing wrong with some people taking a more skeptical approach, and that's not to say this is a bad signing because its not, its a good low risk possible high reward signing this late in the process.

But if ISU is a national contender, and you have guys like Naz, Monte, Cooke, with another transfer eligible in December, and most likely another transfer who will be eligible coming in, and the fact that Fred wants all his guys being able to handle the ball. Nick might be better suited to redshirt.

People put way too much expectation on these kids.
He missed time this year.
Lets not make the kid out to be the next Monte just yet..

Really glad to see that Nick made it to campus! With the broken finger, I doubt he plays in the CCL, but being able to bond with the guys will be good I'm sure.

Compound fracture isn't the right word there is it? That's when bone sticks out of the skin I thought.....

Hairline fracture?

Hairline fractures are really nbd, I've probably had about 10+ from playing catcher for 15 years. I mean other than my hands are now made of glass. They're definitely something you can tape and play through.

Somebody spill the beans, or put an end to rumblings about something.
