Next year's schedule

AA is an average Big 12 QB at best. Our biggest win of this year came with him on the bench. Can't wait until he's gone...

Newsflash: AA's QB rating ranks ahead of ANOTHER NFL quarterback from Iowa State named Sage Rosenfels!

Good thing Sage and Seneca both sucked!

Keep trying buddy. Facts. Find 'em. Use 'em.

Oh, and now Tiller's the savior? Please, don't look at his stats. You'll be quite disappointed, especially when you compare them to our starting QB's.

Really impressive, Cy Hard. Congratulations on taking immaturity on this board to a whole new level.

Does Sage or Seneca miss that pass at the end of the KU game? Unlikely.

You can throw all the stats you want at me...the problem is the guy can't get it done on the field. QBs are about wins...I don't care about QB rating.

Can't get it done? Ok, use facts that support that, not your opinion. Facts. Ricky Stanzi is as good of a quarterback as Tim Tebow because their teams both have 9 wins? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA :biglaugh:

Austen Arnaud is a better quarterback than Robert Griffin and Sam Bradford because he has more wins than them this season? :biglaugh:

You want stats? If you look at ESPN.com stats, only one QB in the Big 12 has a worse QB rating than AA. AA is currently 87th out of 112 listed.

If you even think about putting AA in the same sentence as Bradford you're officially off your rocker. If you want to compare apples and apples, put a healthy Bradford on this team and we're not waiting to see if we beat CU to talk about a bowl game...

You're the one that put him there by saying the only thing that matters is wins. I guess quarterbacks are the only ones responsible for winning games and what they have around them shouldn't be taken into account right?

What stats of Tiller or whoever else you;d think should play show? I guess leadership is a foreign concept to you, but judging by your posts I should expect that. Regarding my previous post, I call it like I see it.

So basically what you're saying is: I don't care what facts you want to use, my opinion is more correct.

Before I put my laptop away since class is about to start, see this:

QBs are about wins

Now see this:

Now see this:

Wins this season:
Austen Arnaud: 4
Sam Bradford: 1?

Austen Arnaud is a better QB than Sam Bradford this season. He has more wins. Quarterbacks are all about the wins, not the stats. Remember?

Either way you want to look at it, AA is a below average QB. You brought up his stats which are nothing to get excited about. 87th out of 112 in passer rating?

You brought up Bradford. I never mentioned him. You were talking about Sage and Seneca. You probably weren't shaving yet when they played, but I don't think anyone on this board who knows anything about football would take AA over Sage or Seneca. Both of whom could make plays to will our team to victory.

They also had a much better team around them.

Put a 100% healthy AA on the team and we could have another win as well. AA was just getting into a rhythm when he went down vs. Baylor. If AA was 100% now and still in that mid season rhythm, you would see a lot better production.

The offense as a whole has not run at full strength all season. There have been injuries, adjustments to the new system, and timing issues all year. Let's see what AA can do next year with more receiving options, a 100% A-Rob, and another off season of familiarity with the offense.

Your argument that it was all AA's fault that the pass was not caught against KU is laughable. AA did everything in his power to just get that pass off. He was scrambling and threw it off his back foot. The team lost a shootout. Rarely, when an offense scores 36 points, should the blame be put squarely on the QB. KU was AA best all around game this year. Allowing 442 passing yards for KU was what lost that game.

You also argue that AA wasn't even on the field for out biggest win this year. True, but it is not like he was benched or anything. I have a feeling ISU converts a few more of those 8 turnovers with a 100% AA.

Again, you are a ray of sunshine.

I don't think Sage completes that pass and Seneca had a 50/50 chance but most likely would have had a better chance at a different play because he had more escapability.

The play was a broken play and AA put the ball up so we would have a chance. The wind took the ball a little. Tough play in a tough situation. To arrogantly claim that Sage and Senca would have made that play is ignorant. You just don't know.

You make some good points, but I'm just not that impressed. The original post that got us started on this tangent was someone essentially saying the Iowa game was a fluke. I stated that it was definitely extreme, but not out of the ordinary for AA to throw some picks. The fact of the matter is that he threw a lot and many of them were terrible. I buy the arguments about new system, timing, injuries, etc. but a QB as good as AA is advertised by our fanbase does not play that bad at home against our biggest rival.

The way you put it now makes much more sense.

The Iowa game was by far AA's worst game of his career.

I am hoping that next year he will play much better than he has so far this season.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that people are chalking up Iowa as a win next year, just because it is "winnable" (read: 10-30% chance of a win). That's pretty much the essence of this board.

And about Arnaud, the guy is average but he's so much of a better option than Tiller right now it's a joke. The KU pass at the end should go on Darks more than Arnaud, if he dove he would have at least gotten his fingers on it.

You still haven't based anything on facts yet.

Maybe you should go back to the posts where I actually used facts. How many times has AA thrown 4 picks in a game? Once. So it's ordinary for AA to throw 4 picks in a game considering he's done it once in college. Ok, gotcha.
