We really don't know how good any of those teams will be, but if ISU is at the level I think we could be at by then and most of those programs are at about the same level they are now (probably some a little better and some a little worse), there's potential for a nine or ten win season including a bowl victory.

WOW not trying to be a downer but if we dont come to play EVERY game on that schedule we could end up 1-11, 2-10. Brutal schedule. There will be a ton of new players playing on defense (mainly three new linebackers) so i say at most 5 wins.

Why? On paper, why would this game be promising? They return a ton of starters.
So what. they are beatable when we don't beat ourselves. Hell Sash didn't even have to react on his INT's he just stood there and got hit in the numbers. Considereing we were in the game at half after giving up 3 interceptions then i think we could be in the game anytime we didn't turn the ball over

UNI is a given next year... guranteed win... ill bet any amount of money... outside of that it is going to fun! the two game road stretch of OU, Texas always stinks, but what ever.

I think a lot of people would agree. While playing OU and Texas isn't going to be an easy stretch by any means they both will have new quarterbacks and will most certainly lose some talent to the NFL. Texas without Colt McCoy isn't nearly as scary and OU without Sam Bradford isn't nearly as scary either. Who knows who else these teams will be missing come next year. I would honestly look for quite a bit of talented guys to jump ship at OU after the season they have had this year and knowing that Sam Bradford isn't coming back.

With all that being said offensively with another year of experience in Herman's system we should be clicking much better. Our biggest question mark is going to be on the defensive side of the ball.

It did help that Stanzi threw two picks himself. And our defense definitely came to play that day.

8-4

nope, no sarcasm pirate.

Hi Austin...I'm gonna go with 6 wins next year and will be happy to win 6 games...

I visited your fair city a couple weeks ago on the way to the ISU-aTm game, nice city and the new condo high rises downtown look mite impressive!!!!

and remember....BUY TICKETS TO THE COLORADO GAME AND SHOW UP AND CHEER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

our non conference schedule actually sounds awesome. we should have the talent to win those games next season. our recruiting class is probably the best i've seen since i've started paying close attention to isu football. here is my win loss prediction each game.
niu-w
ui-w
uu-l
uni-w
ttu-w
ksu-w
ou-l
ut-l
ku-w
nu-l
cu-w
um-w
that's right, i predict 8-4 on one of the toughest schedules in the country. rhoads is bobby bowden reincarnate. taking a program essentially from nowhere to national prominence. it'll happen. believe.

The current record of our opponents for next year is 74-36 counting UNI, 68-33 without them.

4 of them are already qualified for a bowl.

If we can play well in year two of Rhoads/Herman/Burnham and show some of the good things we've seen this year on a more consistent basis, next year could be a very entertaining season, there will be a lot of good competitive games during the season for sure.

As a whole I think this board is too high on this team today and too high on this team in the future. Rhoads is doing some good things and I feel that he is building it right, but we aren't ready for the next level yet. We only have 1 quality win this season due to a freakish bout of turnovers, and that is with a schedule that is very very soft.

OU and UT will just reload, those are losses. Iowa is on the road and they pretty much bring back everyone, that is also a loss. I also don't have a good feeling about Utah, I see a loss there as well. TT is a team that we just won't be ready to handle on defense yet, so mark that an L. After that, who knows, it looks like KSU may have something going under Sneider. And who knows what Nebraska is going to do.

The fact of the matter is, I see 5 for sure Ls before the season even starts as long as I stay away from the Kool-Aid. That only leaves room for one trademark WTF Cyclone style L to come limping home for a bowl game. We need to play a game like Utah in one of the years we don't play OU and UT, if we play it at all. A lot of programs, even the big namers, load up on total cupcakes out of conference. I think for a team like ours that is struggling to get some momentum in the program, we need to do the same.

And Stanzi will continue to throw picks just like he does every single game. Arnaud has shown that the Iowa game was out of the ordinary. Just don't see why people think that game is not winnable. It is.

Iowa brought back everyone from last years team as well except Greenes, King and Krul. We played them real close two years ago and got blown out this year. what is the difference? It had nothing to do with iowa's roster and everything to do with us having a brand new coaching staff. The Iowa game is winnable and anyone that doesn't think so hasn't paid attention to this rivalry in the past. Every year that game is up in the air.

I wouldn't say AA's performance against Iowa was completely out of the ordinary. Extreme? Yes. Unusual for him to throw multiple picks and basically suck at QB? No.

But what about the you tube video?!?!?!?!? That was the biggest thing ever to happen to ISU athletics!!!! :jimlad:

First of all, im not on here to bash anyone. I would like to congratulate isu for responding with a well earned and deserved 2009 football season. However, I think the hawks football team next year will be tougher than the one they have this year! Stanzi and the running back situation should be astonishing next year. Im just going to be biased and say next year iowa blows out isu with it being in kinnick. There athletes are superb. Nothing against isu but i just dont think you can compare these teams equally.

Facts buddy. Try 'em.

As a collegiate quarterback, he has played in 26 games. In 6 of those, he has had multiple picks. Completely out of the ordinary? Let's see here, first time he's thrown 4 picks in a game.

Don't want to point this out because it hurts your argument, but his current passer rating is higher than 3 years of Bret Meyer (Bret's sophomore was the only one higher).

Rut row...also currently higher than Seneca's in 2002, and any quarterback in 2003.
