New Uniforms

I can say with 100% confidence that the OP is full of it. There are no alt uniforms. That is not how this football team operates. They are not flashy, they are a blue collar team that puts their hard hats on and goes to work. They dont need gimmicks and flashy jerseys.

what about the gold jerseys seen in the photo (clearly game jerseys/not practice)?
 
Could the gold jerseys in question just happen to be jerseys a nike rep brought to town? I know there are reps in town all the time trying to sell their product.

Well...its not confirmed. Let me elaborate. Being a business teachers has its ups and downs. Ups: I get to carry my cell phone with me all day because I need to be "tech savvy". Downs: My room is enclosed in cement, therefor I have no signal.

I got a picture "from the inside"...but its not downloading because I dont have a damn signal. For all I know, its probably something else. This person usually sends me cruel and unusual photos. But given the theories in this thread, it is completely possible.

Oh, BTW CyDudue16, did you see the thread on Kirby? :spinny:

This could be possible because starting in July the University Bookstore no longer has the contract to sell clothing items at athletic events. It is going to some other company I can't remember who but its a large company. They are going to have a bunch of different clothing items to sell so they could be adding different jerseys to the list.
 
Forget the uni's! I think we should switch to these shoulder pads!

On the video where they show the isle with the uniforms, they never pan to the left but in the corner you can see some yellow. I don't know if those are pants or jerseys
 
Went on a walk around the building so the picture would download. Definitely not a picture of jerseys. I'll stand by my original statement. I've been in the locker rooms where they have all the different jersey matchups and all of the different equipment. Travel gear, work out shoes, game shoes, practice shoes, travel shoes...the list goes on and on. Never saw any gold jerseys.

Like I said earlier...I would be incredibly surprised if the team wore some alts. IMO it goes against everything CPR and this team are all about.

What, a blue collar team can't have some fun every now and then? Just kidding, I understand what your saying but I think staying away from alternate jerseys because somebody is blue collar is a weak reason.

I'm saying because they arent a flashy team. Rhoads doesnt let them wear all the arm bands and such that you see all up and down players arms because they "look cool". I dont see yellow jerseys happening.

I thought the same thing at first, even after watching the video of the equipment room. After seeing the picture of the video, it is pretty clear that those are gold uniforms with numbers and stripes on them like our current uniforms.

Personally, I don't think wearing alternates means you are trying to be flashy.

Army wears their cammo alternates sometimes and they are about as blue collar as it gets.

I've heard from multiple people involved with the team that we do have gold game uniforms. No confirmation on if or when we'll use them.

The only time game equipment (with the exception of pads - they practice in the same pads they play in) is in the in locker room is on gamedays. That only includes what the team is wearing that day, so you wouldn't have seen alt uniforms in the locker room. If you've been in the equipment room, you'd have to have looked in all of the locked sliding cabinets behind the director of equipment's office to know we don't have alternate uniforms.

I haven't seen them myself (except in the equipment video), but I find it hard to believe multiple different people involved with the team would tell me we have gold uniforms if it were a lie.
 
I'm not saying its not a possibility...I just dont think it will happen. More specifically, it wont happen this weekend. If it were next weekend...maybe with the gold rules and all. I'm not a fan of it, but I guess we'll see. They say that when you play in special uni's you play better. If thats what we need to beat Nebraska, so be it.

Special uni's don't make you play better, per se. But it's exciting for the players to do something like that and I think it puts a little extra spring in their step. Plus, having those alt unis as an option is a nice carrot to offer recruits. I'll bet those players at Oregon love having so many unique options.
