I don't think they ever have. Good for them in branching out I think that looks clean, rivalry and bias aside of course lol.

Black pants over black socks has to be the worst design idea in modern football uniforms.

The socks and pants need to contrast. Otherwise they look like they're wearing yoga pants. And I like me some yoga pants as much as the next man but not necessarily on football players.

Case in point... ugly navy pants/navy socks...



Compared to attractive navy pants/red socks...



So shame on Iowa for trying to ruin yoga pants for me.

I keep seeing people say that the 49ers copied our uniforms, but I have never actually seen any proof or link to that.

Is there any proof of this or is it just a myth people like to believe.

49ers gold is not gold, its taupe. And its gross.

If we ever go back to a metallic/chrome gold we need to use the gold we have on our metallic logo etc.

More Yellow tint to it, somewhat similar to ND gold. Niner, BC, FSU gold is tan/taupe, which is straight up tan in non metallic uses. YUCK
