Agree. Not sure what the infatuation is with the 49'ers gold. If I ever get my current mockups done, this is what I'm using.
#'s 7-9 is the color palette I'm using, with #9 trying to be very close to our old sunflower gold. "TN" stands for t-noah. #4-5 is what we currently have. I don't think I'm using #6 any more. And no, I don't propose to change the current cardinal; leave it the same. My mock cardinal is just slightly differnt because it looks "about right" on the computer screen.
I really wish the NCAA would allow small shoulder numbers again

What they did for the last throwback is the best design I've seen so far. The other designs on this thread are cool I don't think they are as good as what was done before
This mock is a good one to illustrate what could be a great symbiosis between our current yellow/gold, and our '70's sunflower gold. They look good together. Neither shade dominates the other.
I'm not saying we should do something like like this, with predominant gold, but I like it. I'll work on a cardinal pant/ jersey, tomorrow, or soon.
Even if we did something like this, it would be very cost effective. You keep the cardinal helmet (don't go to the expense for a gold one), you gain a sunflower gold pant (that could be used anytime), and you have a retro gold and white jersey, to use in practice, if nothing else These jerseys would also sell to the fans like hotcakes, if they would want to recoup some cash. Just get a retro "A" decal for the helmet.
Do you mean get rid of the classic BB floor look? I'll respectfully disagree with you on that. But I guess we will know soon enough new floor is ordered.
i just dont like the yellow and bright red for that matter. I'm sure its just me, but I think its way off.
They'll probably just roll out the all-blacks with the stripes on the helmet.

Boston College's jerseys are super clean and something we should emulate...just with the sunflower gold from the 70s as t-noah said. It's pathetic that BC and Minnesota's jerseys are so much better than ours. We desperately need white numbers.

With the exception of the anthracite & shiny copper elements & the oars, Minnesota's unis are some of the best in the country

I'm not sure how long you've been a fan, but when I grew up, we had the darker cardinal and the darker sunflower gold. Somebody who was brain dead gave us a brighter red/cardinal and the current yellow/gold, in about 1983. Around 2007, we went back to a darker cardinal (it's fine now), but did nothing to get us back our historic sunflower gold.
We should let Minnesota do their thing. I don't particularly like their bright 'gold' either. Unless you want to look like the Redskins (Commanders). If so, great.
