Sorry fellas... I can't get behind this one. That logo represented the 80's. We all know how bad ISU was back then.
Gone, and SHOULD be forgotten. Barf.
i don't disagree. i'm not a fan of just cardinal and white. here's a gold version.

Does anyone have any insight on how we went from the original design we voted on (white helmet, cardinal jersey, gold pants) to what eventually came about (i.e., the "USC knockoffs")?
Here's a slightly updated version I created with the current B12 logo & twisty numbers (I can't find the original images from the website):

This is my ideal combo for a home game:
I give the Athletic dept. atleast some credit here. After making this horrendous mistake, they pushed it no further. We (thankfully) never saw that decal (large one) again. Just used up the helmet stickers they'd already purchased I suppose.
Did we ever see that design again on the helmet stickers. IIRC, didn't we use them for about 2 years?
That reminds me, what ever happened to those helmet stickers? I loved them. Last i remember using them was 2019.
There were no award decals in 2020 -- just flags (US/state) and the Big 12/Unity emblem(s).
Yeah Wrestling uses it a lot and I think the basketball team had it on their warmups. I also saw it on the video board a few times on saturday. While I think CMC has vetoed it on the football team uniforms I think the athletic department still doesn't want to admit it's mistake and will continue to push it elsewhere.
Does anyone remember this?

We should have one primary logo, the 'I-State', and two secondary logos, the 'CYCLONES', and the 'Twister' in some form (three if you include the Trice mark).
The above is a mod of the Twister by @amestoplease. Below is my version of 'CYCLONES' and 'Twister'. I modified the Twister in the upper R, made it a little fatter, and canted it a bit more. Both look a little better to my eye. I'll call that the 'Cynado'.
I do think that the chance of these secondary logos being adopted improves if we also incorporate the 'I-State' prominently, thus the I-State on the back of the helmet. That's just an idea though.

I didn't really like it at first, then it kind of grew on me a little. It's pretty clever. I did a little Mod. I like both of these. Very different.

I like yours better t-noah. I tried to clean it up a little.... not sure if it's much improvement though??
