UNI went black matte the last two years.

New purple glossy were supposed to match an all new unform set that got delayed until '22 because of the pandemic.

I'd have to imagine it'll be purple-white-white in Ames.

Well, I think the worst logo in football is the animal cracker Detroit Lions logo, so it's at least above that.

Personally I just detest the color purple in uniforms. Making it a white logo on the purple at least makes it less offensive to my eye. However a lot of their uniforms in the images above go 4-color with adding black and white to purple and gold, and IMO that's too busy. It makes them look like a minor league team.

I'm perpetually glad that our tertiary blue is dead.

All my frat friends love the swirly bird logo and I cannot for the life of me understand it. Maybe I'd like it a bit more if the navy blue was replaced, but damn it makes me quesy looking at it.

It was so bad. But, it was the 90's and a lot of schools/Pro-teams had major changes to logos during that time.

I mean, go into any ISU store and try to find "vintage wear." The walking cy, leaning cy, and the 80's tornado are in demand. The swirly bird logo? Nowhere to be seen. (Thank goodness.) It hasn't aged well, nor will it ever.

The I-State logo is so ******* awesome. Very traditional looking and should be the main mark for ISU forever going forward.

I’m biased towards swirly bird I guess because it was the first logo I knew as a kid.

First thing I knew as a 90s kid too. I thought it was the bees knees till the " I State" logo came out and there was no navy blue involved. My buddy brought his old football with the twister logo to have Brock and Breece sign and they were enamored with it. So what do I know lol
