That's what that combo looked like on Saturday. Like several have said already, no white in the helmet and jerseys mean you should not have white in the pants. It's really pretty easy.

Agreed. It is a uniform and by definition there should be some uniformity/coordination with each piece so that they work together as one uniform. There was zero uniformity with that look since there was zero white on the top half of the players (jersey or helmet) . It really did look like someone in the equipment room messed up on Saturday.

Why does Coach Campbell hate the gold so much?

My theory is that Nike told him to kick rocks on getting a 4th color. They're only going to do 3. Campbell decided having a black option would be better than gold because gold primary color jerseys are disgusting.

OR

Nike told him they could only do gold if it was as a full kit, just like the cardinal, white, and black sets.

Campbell said f** no I do not want gold jerseys. Just pants and helmets. Nike said no.

They are going to have to roll them out sooner or later, or why even get them? For me, I'll be cool w/ all-black 1x/year, or better yet just once every other year. But then how about the other Black combos? Just not too thrilled w/ any of the mock-ups I've done w/ the Black helmets, and the black jersey and then other modular components of Cardinal or Gold.

Of all the Black, I think the Black pants could be a winner, keep 'em, let Campbell get his fix. Ditch the black jersey and black helmet next year, keep the black pants.

Slightly off-topic, and possibly mentioned elsewhere, but did anyone find it odd that Campbell didn't wear any gold/yellow for Saturday's game, even though it looked like the assistants all had gold shirts. Campbell did have the CBA patch on his shirt (which was white) and a yellow ribbon his cap (black, as is his apparent preference).

Was that more an element of him being easier for players/coaches to locate on the sideline or something? Just curious.
