Those call out for some gold pants/helmets so badly... It hurts.

Yeah, but too bad the staff felt black pants and helmet were more important than one of our actual colors. The fact we can't even use gold pants at all this year is just unfathomable.

We have an ugly chrome cardinal helmet and a black helmet, but no gold helmet. I just don't get it. And don't get me wrong, I love the black, I just think we should have both. Don't add a black helmet before adding a gold one.

I'm not on the side with the love of the gold. Especially with our current gold which pretty much looks yellow to me. I'm even not a fan of the basketball versions. They scream McDonald's to me whenever we use a lot of it. I don't mind it for trims/accents but I just do not think a lot of it looks good. Seems like I might be in the minority. If we had a better looking "gold" I would be more on board.

I do not think any of us want to go full mustard bottle.

Some gold pants/helmets to mix with combos would do wonders, though.

Looks like could be a beast receiving Tight End type. At first look I figured that's what position he played. Big dude for a WR.

The only reason I can think of by having black collars and black outline around the numbers is that it may pair well with black helmet or pants.

I'm impartial to it, though. It doesn't bug me that much.

I agree that'd be the logic of having the black accents, to be able to use a B-C-B combo.

A query related to that: Are there plans for an alternate black helmet with cardinal in the logo? Black-gray-white with a cardinal-gold jersey ... that screams "clash."

Not sure you'd want to use the silver I-State logo if you went this route. Like you said, it clashes.

Yeah they'd definitely have to use the multi color logo.

We used a stencil red-only logo last year @ Akron. That would work better than the normal logo. You could also add the chrome red facemask and black pants. Can anyone render that?

I'm not sure how well that would show up on a black helmet, but I guess we'll see.

Yes the Red stencil I-St logo on Blk helmet will look pretty good I think, from my tinkering, and they do have it/have used it in past. I made up a Red facemask on black helmet and it does not work well. Black facemask on Red helmet on the other hand , looks great.

I think if staff is willing to use some different I-State decals on helmets, and change around the color of the facemasks (looks like they will currently have red, black and white facemasks), depending on the combo, it could be all right.

Did you use a chrome red facemask or just regular red?

I bet we see all gold everything sometime next season - to be mixed and matched with the rest. Just wait until TOE sees us with black helmets, white jersey and yellow pants...
