I posted earlier that I don't think they'll mix & match early in the season, they'll use all-cardinal/white/black before other combos, but I wouldn't mind seeing this vs. Iowa.

Just watched a video on Facebook of the “Cyclone Loop” and the guy taking the video showed a Cy in like a black Batman suit and the cyclone logo on Cy’s chest is interesting. I don’t know how “official” these Cy statues are or even if they are associated with the university or athletic department- here is a screenshot I took-

This is just one of many Cy statues around Ames. My wife and I brought our kids up to Ames a few years ago and went around town to all of the statues and got pictures with them all. They have one dressed as Superman, a doctor, looking like a disco ball. Very cool, but have nothing to do with any new uniform design

I think there are 30 around town. The disco ball one is called "Reflective Cy." I think it is usually located on Main Street. Not sure why they would move it, but I saw a bunch around Jack Trice Stadium yesterday. There is another cool one at the hospital with half showing the "inside" of Cy.

Those are just for looks. I believe you can't have colored visors in college, just NFL.

In this same video, go to the 10 second mark. Are those cardinal matte helmets? Gawd..... I hope not!
