It's going to be a very sad day when Kirk Ferentz is considered cutting edge when compared to Paul Rhoads. But this alternate uniform for Iowa is putting him one step closer.

I just cringe when I think what ISU could be doing with its marketing versus what it is currently doing. Very big missed opportunity.

God, those are bad. Adidas does such a crappy job with alt. uniforms. Nike will have a miss here and there, but overall, they do alt. unis so well.

Can everyone here quit acting like they aren't jealous? We'd love to have vague announcement about an alternate uniform that got the players excited like this. And one that wasn't from the flippin' 30's. Something 21st century would be nice for once.

One that note,I did like the old unis that you cranked out a couple years ago- better than our old ones that were worn.

It's funny how Iowa fans continuously point out ISU "ripping off" USC (when it's not true) when Iowa themselves have been ripping off the Pittsburgh Steelers for decades (and Old Raisinface has admitted as much).

It's a laugher every time an Iowa fan brings this up.

I saw someone puttting on a wrist sweatband that looks like one I had in 1980.

Looks like it'll be gold numbers on black jersey with no outline, which would be pretty cool. Also looks like it'll say "Iowa" across the chest, which would be pretty lame. Was hoping they'd go with matte black helmets, doesn't look like that'll happen. We usually whiff badly on stuff like this, hopefully we don't again.

After adjusting the contrast it shows more. And the helmet worn here is the usual one, not the helmet that will be worn, so maybe it'll be matte black after all.

They don't look bad, but Iowa has been known to screw up uniform promotions before.

Can't disagree........I think these all blacks will be pretty cool though. Pretty hard to mess up...
