New Iowa Blackout Uniforms

From what Ive heard and seen, the jerseyes will be black on black on black. Black jersey, yellow numbers, black pants with small tigerhawk logo above the left pocket, black socks and shoes. They are still working on the helmet. I personally think they look sweet, and the good thing is that Nike had a big hand in designing them, not our horrifically stupid marketing department. They have managed to screw up some of the most basic functions. Its embarrassing

I've been telling my Iowa buddies for years I'd love to see them wear all black. As Mtown says, I think they look sharp (what I could see of them in the video), and I'm jealous.
 
While watching the video the first thing that I thought was...wow those remind me of Mizzou's uniforms.

Yeah, with how iowa has been struggling on the field as of late, Ferentz is giving certain players shanks that they can store in those pockets. Ive been hearing that in camp, they have been working on using them in piles, discreetly, to eliminate certain players. Bold move, we'll have to see if it pays off.

Can everyone here quit acting like they aren't jealous? We'd love to have vague announcement about an alternate uniform that got the players excited like this. And one that wasn't from the flippin' 30's. Something 21st century would be nice for once.

It's funny how Iowa fans continuously point out ISU "ripping off" USC (when it's not true) when Iowa themselves have been ripping off the Pittsburgh Steelers for decades (and Old Raisinface has admitted as much).
 
 
Nebraska too...Hawks are trying to keep up with their favorite rival.

Back in the day when our nickname was chosen, "Cyclone" was a commonly used term for tornado. Nice try.

I have been trying to tell people for years now that it is just a stenciled sky-rat (pigeon)...but nobody's listening!
