They should just take the top of the old trophy and put it on the new base. The new base is nice. The old top is nice. Plus the old trophy has a pretty cool story to it.
Yeah but the old trophy had a good story. Kind of cheesy and that is not a bad thing. Maybe just put the Cy and the Hawk with angry faces facing each other.

The trophy is an embarassment and almost could be speculated that it was conspired with UI administration as helping to end the football series. I think the same morons designed this that designed our state quarter........The state quarter is still a shame. "We value education more than other people!!!!" Wow, never knew we were so elite.

On Whotv.com 96% of people voted that they hated this trophy with about 2000 total votes. Hopefully the powers that be can admit they made a mistake, here the people and redo the thing. You rarely see people admit they made a mistake, but for the love of God let this be one of those rare times.

I'm very disappointed at this thing too. I wasn't expecting a Norman Rockwell painting for a football trophy. For the message the Iowa Corn Growers Assn. is trying to send, a football trophy is not the appropriate medium to convey it. I would have loved to see on one end a statuette of Jack Trice in a passing pose, the other end a statuette of Nile Kinnick in a running pose, and a gold plated football in the center. On the base under Jack, the ISU logo, under Nile the Tigerhawk logo, and in the center the ICGA logo. This desigh makes perfect sense to me for the Cy-Hawk football game. Norman Rockwell not welcome here.
I really think this is some sort of cruel joke. That would explain why the heads of the Corn Worshipers are so far out of proportion to their bodies. Also, when viewed in profile, Corn Boy appears to be sporting a soul patch. They can't fool me. I am awaiting the unveiling of the actual trophy which will be really cool I bet.
