Doin another fundraiser for NCAA's buf? They really beat on the top guys that defaulted out of their tournament.
Cardinale is justified. Gomez will be interesting, since his 2nd loss was the slam, then he defaulted the 9th place bracket

I tip my hat to ..22CY.My apologies for not being clear.
“ I realize a lot has transpired since then.”
Brooks at 3 is almost jaw dropping to me.
Sam got hosed. Not sure it matters a whole lot, because the top 4 at 285 are so good, but he should have been the 6.133 - winnable first match, Palmer is tough but winnable. Then he would get Fix.
141 - Casey can beat Schwartz, but he’s funky. Anything mat related wouldn’t end well. Schwartz was gimpy at Big 12’s. Hart in the next round would be tough.
149 - absolutely love this draw. He can beat Henson, but we know who he would see in the semi’s.
157 - Ed Scott is good but not unbeatable. Not many have the tank that Kraisser has, just get out of the first period baby.
165 - just win, baby. Not convinced it’s Griffith he will see in the quarters either.
184 - love this draw for Marcus. Get to the semi’s and see what happens.
197 - would be my favorite draw if Yonger was feeling right. Still he can make the finals on this side. Wouldn’t see Elam or Truax and he should have eaten Nino at Pitt.
285 - probably our worst draw for higher seeded guys. Davidson as the 9 seed is tough, he’s been a top 4 or 5 guy all year. I’m not doubting Sam though.
I thought you were full of **** so I had to go back and look… all be damned if he wasn’t ranked 4th heading into Big10’s. But then I go look at his record and his best win is Hillger.. who he just lost to at bigs. He also beat Pitzer at midlands though. But otherwise he’s living on some close losses285 - probably our worst draw for higher seeded guys. Davidson as the 9 seed is tough, he’s been a top 4 or 5 guy all year. I’m not doubting Sam though.
Big 12 not looking too good. This ranking is from Flo, top 6 is definitely doable, will need some help to break into the top 5, but we can get that help from 141 and 197. Also I know it's pessimistic but I think Sam could do real well on the backside if he does lose to Davidson.
Top 10 Team Scores Based On Seeds
- Penn State - 97
- Iowa - 74.5
- Cornell - 68.5
- Nebraska - 62.5
- NC State - 59.5
- Missouri - 55
- Virginia Tech - 51
- Iowa State - 49
- Ohio State - 39.5
- Arizona State - 38
If Yonger can get himself healthy, we have a very nice shot at top 5. Without him, someone would have to come out of nowhere to AA. I also think Sam could (and will) place higher than his seed which will help too. This ranking is from Flo, top 6 is definitely doable, will need some help to break into the top 5, but we can get that help from 141 and 197. If they do it systematically wouldn’t he move to the 14 and take the 20, new 19 Domenic Zaccone ?133 update:
#11 Connor McGonagle (Lehigh) has withdrawn due to injury. Ethan Oakley of Appalachian State is the alternate.
Look for shuffling in this bracket. Redding may have a different first-round opponent.
That’s what makes sense. Therefore, given the NCAA, that’s what’s unlikely to happen. If they do it systematically wouldn’t he move to the 14 and take the 20, new 19 Domenic Zaccone ?
He beat Zaccone 3-2 in the dualIf they do it systematically wouldn’t he move to the 14 and take the 20, new 19 Domenic Zaccone ?
Agree. If things shake out right, he now would have a better matchup in the blood round.I think the shake-up at 133 could be a good thing for Redding. Assuming a win over Zaccone and a loss to Vito and going chalk elsewhere, he'd have to beat #11 Ragusin to reach the blood round and #8 Nagao OR #9 Phillippi to become an AA. I won't go as far as to make that a prediction, but I'm not counting him out either.
