Name of Field

My vote for the name of the football field would be..

No one has earned that yet. I can easily see Campbell earning that right in the future but that is 10 years minimum probably more like 20 years.

There is no one in the football program in my book that has earned that honor in my book. We leave it as it is JTS and not mess with it. Frankly, I think even suggesting it is premature at best. Maybe we should be pushing to get Jack Trice's number retired instead.

i don't think JT had a number. The Yankees were the team that get credited with putting numbers on their uniforms first. They used numbers to indicate batting order and help fans know which players were batting. JT passed away in 1923 which i think was a bit too early before numbers started to catch on around the nation.

As for a field name, how about Holloway Smith?
 
Naming sports fields and stadiums make for some nice extra money in the coffers...so with that, I gladly welcome all visitors to Iowa Corn Hy-Vee Kum & Go Case IH Fareway Principal Mid-American Energy EMC Insurance Iowa Speedway Field...........at Jack Trice Stadium.
