Now that is just dumb. You can get arrested for murder and then the charges are dropped because they find they have the wrong ricochet - you should be suspended for that? I get that if you did something and you get off on a technicality that shouldn't preclude some sort of AD discipline - however not every arrest is because the person legitimately did something wrong.
There could certainly be exceptions and I didn't mean to come across as a zero tolerance policy because I hate those. I just don't think it is all that hard to get through college without being arrested and a suspension isn't exactly a cruel and unusual punishment. Oh, and I hereby volunteer to be suspended from work, without pay, for 2 weeks if I am ever arrested on any charge - whether I did it or not.
