Most Underrated Player for ISU

I think Melvin's bad hands or dribble problems at times come because he's anxious to get to the basket, and rushes it, occasionally forces it.

His finishing inconsistency probably has a little to do with confidence.

I can tell progress on his smoothness even since early in the season.

The most under valued guy by the fanbase is Booker, hands down.

The 4 Southern Illinois fans must be ****** at this point.

Ejim is an enigma (just learned the word today and wanted to use it somewhere). It seems he is trying so hard, so we see some weird fouls, missed passes, TOs, etc, but if we are really watching the game, we see he is doing a lot of good things - a lot. While he got into double digits again today, I think his defense was his biggest contribution. He is working his butt off - and that is all we can ask for.

Whoever says Allen is the most underrated player on our team must be smoking whacky tabaccy. His shot selection is often really, really bad and he sulks way too much.

But as many have said, we have some great character on our team: Booker, McGee, Scotty and others. But Royce is setting such an example - fighting what he is fighting and still doing what he is doing. I think the fight he is fighting is under-rated....

Go 'clones

I can't disagree with those saying Booker. I love it when he comes off the Bench because he is so versatile. He can hold his own down on the block against big guys, then pop outside for a SETUP three. When the kid has his feet set and open, he knocks it down consistantly! I, along with many I am sure, have been very impressed with his outside game this year!

Some of the passes he misses aren't on Melvin. Babb threw one at his ankles yesterday and Royce threw him two Joel Zumaya fastballs when a Freddy Garcia fastball is more than plenty. If you're going to zing it at 60mph you damn well better hit the target in the chest or the pass is going to be hard to handle.

Yesterday my son asked why he plays. 10 seconds later he had the baseline dunk. If he didn't have stone hands, stos shooting the 3 and dunk instead of shooting the layup, he would average 20 a game.

Anyone not named Royce White is relatively underrated on this team. It seems none of the other guys (Babb, Tyrus, Allen, Ejim, Booker, etc.) get the credit they deserve after certain games, and especially games where they don't light up the stat line. Babb has won us a few games strictly on the defensive end when his shot wasn't there (And people never notice that, because all they look at is offense) and Ejim's won us a few games with rebounding and his defense on Robinson last night was fantastic.
