After every game I am always surprised when I hear Ejim's stat line. It seems like he always has a quiet 10-15 points and almost as many rebounds. I have never been wowed by his game and he is definitely not a 3 point threat, but as a sophomore is showing a lot of promise now and in the future. Everybody always talks about Royce and his contributions, but I feel like Melvin deserved to have a little praise after his performance in the game tonight.

I agree Melvin is under appreciated (by myself included). I think most people get so frustrated with his inability to dribble (without bouncing it off his leg), catch a pass cleanly and finish at the rim consistently that we forget about how hard he is playing. I was getting pretty fed up with his bad TO's today that I had to keep reminding myself that he was busting his *** and playing really hard and doing a lot of really good things (minus the TO's).

Kudos to Melvin.

Everyone notices the bad things Melvin does (dropped passes, three pointers, dribbling, etc.), but he's really solid most games. I love how he knocks down free throws and how he has played with intensity as of late.

I like Melvin, but I wish he could finish more consistently. Seems like it's a confidence thing or something. He's blown more bunnies than a hooker at a fur farm.

One minute I am yelling at him (yeah through my TV) and the next I am praising his play. Inconsistent would be the best way to describe him, but stats don't lie. 15 pts 8 reb in only 27 minutes.

I like Melvin....but have to say Tyrus McGee......most hustle on the team, this point of the year!

I think one reason he played well because he wanted to prove something to his old teammate.

Melvin needs to take up juggling during the off season. Soften up those hands and he would be a force.

Frustrating at times, but he's just a sophomore, going to be a favorite by the time he's done.

Allen helps us win. That simple, ISU is a better team with Allen. So imo, he is underrated because he isn't well received by most...

He has been one of my favorite players since he got here and I never have anything bad to say about him. The same thing with Scottie too. I love how you people hate on these guys one day than the next you cant say enough good about them. Come on man:realmad:

How has no one said Booker. Sometimes fouls, but dang does this kid hustle hard. He wants to win and has the intensity to show it. Makes some clutch threes and pulls down rebounds hard. I feel like Booker and McGee are some of the only players that dive on the floor for the ball.

I agree. I thought Booker played great defense today and he is always a threat to nail the three.
