I'm more curious as to why people care so much? Would I love to have him here all 4 years? Absolutely. Am I going to make assumptions based off of other people's careers that have zero credence in MM's decision? No. Just enjoy his time here.

I've used this reference before, but.......
Monte Morris last year:
11.9 PPG, 5.2 APG
Rajon Rondo's last college year:
11.2 PPG, 4.9 APG
1. Because McDonald's All-Americans are guaranteed to succeed in the NBA.
2. Because going one year earlier is such a huge deal.
He's also the same size Rondo and CP3 were at his age (and other to pgs I'm sure) even though I'm sure someone will say he's too small.
And a diminished head for the game the last two years.but DID YOU KNOW RONDO HAS HUGE HANDS????
I think it's funny how people like to bring up guys like Rondo, CP3 or Tony Parker to prove that Monte isn't too small for the NBA. Those guys are once every few years talent levels who are still small for their position in the NBA but have exceptional talent that make up for it. Not saying size is a major problem for Monte but strength & frame are a concern at the next level. He's also the same size Rondo and CP3 were at his age (and other to pgs I'm sure) even though I'm sure someone will say he's too small.

If Monte only averages 11.9 ppg this year he will not be a first round pick unless he completely dominates the NCAA tournament or something IMO. He needs to show he can score more. Players that are highly regarded out of HS are believed to have more upside so yes I think they have a big advantage over a player like Monte. See Tyus Jones
Barring some unforeseen reason he takes a nosedive in production on the court, he will declare for the draft after this season. Foregoing his senior season. No question about it!
