I'm jealous your son is so into this. My 7 year old has no interest in watching sports at all. Although he does ask now if the Cyclones win or lose.
So the little guy had an early out day today at school. He's outside shooting hoops but I made him come in quick and look at the Nae Nae and the Dougie and he said nope to both of them. He showed me his version again and I am still clueless. Oh well I guess. Thanks for all the help everyone.

LMFAO....middle aged men talking hip-hop dance crazes...and I can say that as I is one...
The only way to solve this is record your kid's dance and post it!!
Hey now I'm still with it. I can Macarena, Tootsie Roll, and do the electric slide with the best of them!!!!!!!
It's a blessing and a curse. He has an Ipad that he does some school work on but it also for fun. He has links to all the schedules and you tube channels for ISU. He knows when there are games and makes sure we are going. So it's tough to hide a game if we know we can't make it.
He is obsessed with all things basketball, he can't get enough of it. We have never pushed him to anything but he just keeps wanting to do more. He also follows Kevin Durant alot and for Christmas I took him to the Twin Cities when the Thunder played the TWolves. Because of his bball obsession it's pretty easy to keep him occupied though. He likes to watch skills videos on youtube and then go outside and practice them. His big thing right now is he is working on his spin move down low and has a couple videos of Niang he looks at and tries to copy his spin moves.
Surprisingly the kid is good at bball. I know every parent says their kid is good and I hate sounding like I'm bragging but at 7 years old he's got amazing form when he shoots and he rarely misses anything inside the free throw line. Like I said we have never pushed him to anything and we are trying to slow him down with basketball but he is just obsessed with learning everything about it.
All kids are different. I took my son to all kinds of sporting events as soon as he could walk. He liked going but never really fell in love with sports. Even though he is 6'3" 225 lb starting varsity football player, he rarely has any interest in watching games or following sports closely. He knows if the Cyclones win or lose, but that is about it. He is more into computer games, netflix, science, and girls .....
My 14 year old daughter on the other hand loves sports. She will watch all kinds of games with me and she will even watch games on her own. Sports come really easy to her. She plays aau basketball at a high level and she loves to practice so she can get better.
Not how I expect things to be before I had kids, but both are great.
