Spectacular cover and and extremely mellow song for Pantera. Good video too.

Easy/Three Times a Lady - The Commodores
Your Song - Elton John
We May Never Pass This Way Again - Seals and Crofts
We've Only Just Begun - The Carpenters
Anything for You - Gloria Estefan
Me and You and a Dog Named Boo - Lobo
Rainy Night in Georgia - Brook Benton
Time in a Bottle - Jim Croce
Colour My World - Chicago
My Love - Paul McCartney and Wings

I could go on...but I'll spare everyone the long list.

Almost forgot someone I recently discovered thanks to "Live at Daryl's House"...and I know I'm way behind...

But Grace Potter and the Nocturnals...a couple of songs, "Goodbye Kiss" and "Things I Never Needed".

Also love "Paris (Ohh La La)" but it's not mellow.

I've noticed my musical tastes have mellowed out a ton recently. I still like to rock out from time to time but it's nice to just lay back and chill too.
Well Hiphopp, you outdid yourself in this thread. Nice to get introduced to some new tunes and bands.

First album I owned was Black Sabbath Paranoid (at 12 yrs old). Still one of my favorites.

Thanks brother! I tried to post mostly newer songs as well since there have been a few mellow songs recorded since the 70s!

No Pink Floyd mentions??? Half their songs qualify. Gonna say "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" -- the whole thing.

But here's an unusual one. Tool. Yes Tool. Sorry about the cheesy fanvid but it had the lyrics. It's worth the 11 minutes.

I haven't mentioned Floyd because you could pretty much play any Floyd album from start to finish and "mellow out" with your favorite elicit substance at any time.

However I do remember getting paranoid as **** the first time I watched "The Wall" with my college roommate Stony Dan.

Out in the Country - Three Dog Night
Once Upon A Time, Story In Your Eyes, & the entire Days of Future Passed album - Moody Blues
Me & You & A Dog Named Boo - Lobo
California Dreamin' - Mamas & the Papas
Don't Worry Baby & In My Room - Beach Boys
Tequila Sunrise - Eagles
Baby I'ma Want You - Bread

99% of the songs the Carpenters, Air Supply, the Lettermen & Barry Manilow recorded

Way too many more to list here...
