McKay Starting Over BDJ

For the love of god stfu. Are you guys serious? He was late for a game, relax. In the post game, Fred said he was benched for the same thing @ ISU too. Stop acting like this is a bigger deal than it is. You guys obviously just hate BDJ, and are looking for any reason to pounce.

To build on this, Fred's tone indicated that he moved on from this about the second he assigned the punishment. A person really has to try hard to make something out of this one.

I don't hate BDJ. I do hate people that put words in my mouth, though.

I've said numerous times I want nothing more than BDJ to succeed. I simply don't put the horse blinders on and pretend that he is the second coming of our savior because Fred chose him to play here.

This is spot on. I've been expecting this move for a couple weeks. It ups the rebounding and defense and energy at the start. Proud of how BDJ played today.

Except its not spot on. The move was for punishment, not to help slow starts.

If I am Freddy, I'm sitting his *** on the bench a few more games and not starting him after I just bailed his *** out just four short weeks ago. For some reason, BDJ doesn't understand zero tolerance policies after the coaches have had to put up with his crap for so long. This shouldn't be something that has to be dealt with at this point in the season when we need to be playing our best ball heading into March.

I like the McKay start on Monday and beyond. Besides Naz & Georges, I think he's the other leader on that team no matter if he's on the bench or floor. He's a complete team player and leader. That can only help help us more in February and March.

I was pretty bummed when I showed up late to my HS graduation and they wouldn't let me graduate and made me repeat the 12th grade. You would think I'd learned my lesson but then I got stuck in traffic one day on my way to a dentist appointment and when I showed up the dentist said he'll never see me again and put me on some kind of list that now I have to drive to Omaha to go to the dentist because I'm blacktoothed in DSM.

Then I was supposed to pick up my mom to take her to her to get her hair did at 3:30, I got there at 3:40 and she had a sign on the door that said "You're not my son anymore". Still trying to repair that relationship and my moms hair is down to her azz and she told my sister to tell me she won't get her hair cut until I get my act together.

I like McKay starting. Having BDJ and Nader coming off the bench gives us more flexibility, and could help us move toward a 7 man rotation too if Hoiberg cuts Thomas out.

I don't think we'll ever see Naz not start again, I think he gives the offense better spacing vs having Niang, McKay, BDJ, and Hogue all in. I don't think we've even seen that lineup on the floor at all this season (that I can remember).

Word at Johnny's was that bdj was late 15 minutes to the game, and that is why he did not start. I don't know if that is true or not, but that was what the rumor was. Who knows. I agree with the lineup today, but in Fred I trust.

I'm still on the 8 man rotation and would like EdoZie to occasionally get thrown in. Come tourney time, overcoming injuries and foul trouble is huge. We were a 7 man rotation last year and when Georges went down, our final 4 run was over

Fred confirmed this.

I liked the rotation we got with bdj not starting. Felt like we could keep fresh legs in and stay in transition better. It was weird seeing Nader Matt Thomas and Bdj on court at the same time

Whew, I was getting worried that we might have a thread without someone taking a shot at Matt Thomas. Thanks for preventing that.

This. He has been to three schools and gotten away with pretty much everything, and at the end of the day he is still playing D-1 basketball with nothing more than a slap on the wrist (if that).

Just because our previous transfers understood this is their last stop doesn't mean they all will.

I liked the way the game played out today, I'll trust Fred with the substitutions, but WOW you two just went off the deep end. It's almost like you've just been waiting for him to have a slip up so you can bash him some more.

Get a grip, it's college basketball, and Fred don't give a **** what either of you think.

Not just Fred.

Will we insert BDJ back as starter on Mon to guard Hield, or will Naz guard him? Wondering what Fred will do on match ups?
