If you didn't see this over the weekend, this video is a must-see. For one, the video is of Sony's President Amy Pascal getting interviewed right next to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, talking about how Sony's new Spidey-verse movies like Venom and Black Cat are all a part of the same same universe as the MCU (says it as adjunct part... whatever that means), and that Peter Parker could easily pop up in those movies. Just stopping there, that is big news alone and pretty much completely contrary to what anyone has said so far, including Kevin Feige, who is sitting right next to her.
However, the amazingness doesn't stop there as you really MUST watch the video a second time, while only focusing this time on Kevin Feige's bewildered facial expressions while Amy talks, as it is absolutely hilarious. In fact, the entire internet is abuzz with new Kevin Feige gifs of his look, very akin to the whole Sad Affleck gif run. He is obviously as surprised as we are to what she is saying, with the big old Wat???? expression plastered on his face, followed by a please stop talking, please stop talking look. Classic.
With all that said, the more I hear of Amy Pascal, the more she reminds me of the blubbering idiot that is David Boren, Oklahoma's President. For one, they both come across as idiots who don't know what they are talking about, and for two, I think they just are both attention whores who love to hear themselves talk. This all then compares to Kevin Feige, who is like the ultimate intelligent tactician mastermind of everything he does, including the MCU. He always thinks about everything he says in a meticulous manner and knows EXACTLY what he is talking about at all times. I can only imagine how much Kevin hates having to work hand in hand with Amy.

I didn't think Amy Pascal was involved past the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel. She got booted as President of Sony after the hack and her saving grace was landing the deal with Marvel on her way out the door. Maybe this is her double-bird salute as she goes out and lets Sony-Marvel try to clean up the PR mess in her wake?

You know. You are right. I completely forgot that she stepped down as head of Sony Pictures. Part of why I forgot is because I keep seeing her pop up in interviews about Ghostbusters and Spider-Man. Therefore, you got me searching and this was what I found in one article:
"As part of the deal, she will be a producer on the new Ghostbusters film as well as future Amazing Spider-Man outings (former Columbia Pictures president Matt Tolmach also segued to the role of Spider-Man producer after he exited his post)."
Therefore, it looks like she must still be set up as producer of movies like Spider-Man Homecoming still, which is why she keeps getting interviewed and why she still keeps talking. With that said, that still doesn't change my opinion of her really at all (I do feel bad for her being victimized in the leaks though). What she did with ruining Ghostbusters doesn't help her cause either. If anything, I wish there was some type of clause to just make her go away and put somebody who is actually competent in her position. At a minimum, just please stop talking. Same advice goes for David Boren.
Correction: Forget David Boren, she reminds me even more of DeLoss Dodds, the former Texas AD during the Big 12 missile crisis. Man, I hated that dude.

Shoot, now out of that same article, they mention that Sony would also like to do both a Kraven the Hunter and a Mysterio Spinoff movies. This Sony spin-off craziness is going bonkers right now and all I want to know is Kevin Feige's thoughts on all of this. I mean, what the heck is going on? Are they in the MCU, are they not?? At this point, Sony can talk all they want, but who I want to hear from is Kevin Feige. Also, as much as I want to see Kraven, what I REALLY wanted was him to be the villain of the next Spidey sequel, not in some type of stand-alone spin-off.

Not that it's a surprise, but Kevin Feige's plan is to have Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 kick-off the events of Phase 4. What is surprising is the Spider-Man sequel will take place 1 year after Spider-Man: Homecoming, which means Infinity War and the 4th Avenger's film take place mere months apart in the MCU timeline.
Feige also stated that he doesn't believe any other Phase 4 films will be announced until after Avenger's 4 is released (May 3, 2019).

Erik Davis with Fandango was able to interview Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal, and they clarified that Black Cat/Silver Sable and Venom are NOT part of the MCU.

Also, as time has gone on, there has only been more and more of those social media postings about the moving, and all of them are crazy positive. With that said, my enthusiasm level is nearing the giddy schoolboy level right now. In fact, I haven't been this excited in a little kid kind of way in quite a long time... well, maybe just prior to Civil War.

The more I read of interviews about the future after infinity war can mostly be summed up into 3 thoughts and I can find lots of quotes to back up all of these:
1. The reason why they aren't releasing the names or schedule of the future slate is because some of those names alone are spoilery of our current slate of films
2. There will be a relatively heavy emphasis and expansion more to the cosmic part of this universe, which will be led hand-in-hand by both Feigi and James Gunn as architects.
3. There will also be more of a move towards the ground-level storytelling with Spidey taking the lead into breaking open that side of the universe (this revelation is more recent)
Overall, I like their thoughts. Essentially, after two Infinity Wars, I think Feigi is trying to be proactive in the thought that the audience is going to be a bit worn-out on seeing "destroy the world threats" every single movie. Therefore, he is trying to change things up, which I think is smart. You can make stakes feel super big even if it doesn't mean the end to all life on earth. You just need good storytelling and the Netflix series are proving that.... well... most of them.
