If it aint DC or marvel, no.

It IS Marvel, just part of the Fox Universe (along with X-Men and Fantastic Four) instead of the greater MCU.

Won't see it on opening night, but if it looks like it is getting good reception I might go see it. Otherwise I'll probably just wait for the blu-ray.

In regards to the trailers during the Super Bowl, was that the first time they officially showed Ant-Man on Cap's side? I guess it was hinted at in the extra scene at the end of the Ant-Man movie. Also, Psylocke cutting that car in half with her telekentic blades was pretty damn cool.

Yeah, I do think that is technically the first glimpse of Ant-Man in a trailer, even though it was widely known that he was in the movie. I really like his new helmet. With that said, there is also rumors of Giant Man making an appearance, but that has yet to be shown in any trailers either. Doubt it will either. My guess is they are saving back both Spidey and Giant Man for the actual showing.

As for Deadpool's reception, they have actually already had early screenings and also just lifted the review ban on those showings just a few days ago, so there is lots of reviews already out:

Overall, the movie seems to be a hit, which only makes me more excited. I also like how the one critic said that it is tied more into the X-Men franchise than some people may have guessed. I was hoping it would have some solid ties beings how it is in the same universe.

Yes, you are right on the Marvel thing. For those unaware, there is essentially 3 different shared universes out there. The Marvel Cinematic Universe (Marvel movies actually made by Marvel because they own the movie rights to these characters, the Fox Marvel Universe (Marvel movies made by Fox using characters that Fox owns the movie rights to), and the DC Extended Universe (DC is fully owned by Warner Bros and they only have one universe because they own movie rights to all their own characters). Here is the 2016 breakdown of the upcoming movies in the 3 different universes:

MCU: Captain America: Civil War and Dr. Strange
Fox Marvel Universe: Deadpool and X-Men: Apocolypse (Gambit used to be slated for 2016 before being moved back
DCEU: Batman vs Superman and Suicide Squad

Awesome, I hadn't seen any reviews yet.

New Daredevil Season 2 full-length trailer just got dropped:

Looks great to me. While I sit here waiting and thinking Civil War can’t get here soon enough, I keep forgetting that I’ve got Daredevil Season 3 starring me right face and coming soon to hold me over and get my MCU fix. I’m definitely loving Jon Bernthal in the Punisher role. He has the potential to be amazing.

Really sucks the Marvel characters are owned by different studios. Who doesn't want to see a crossover that puts Rocket and Deadpool in a scene together.

I definitely hear yah on wishing Marvel owned all their own characters. Deadpool in MCU with Rocket??? Oh yeah. Could you imagine the X-Men in the fix???? Crazy. At least they’ve struck a deal to bring Sony's Spiderman in because that is amazing. I will say this though that I’ve heard as a counterargument to it being good that Fox owns some characters that does make some sense. All said and done, I’m all for as many Superhero movies as possible as long as they are good ones and right now we have 3 big players in the market (Marvel/Disney, WB/DC, and Fox/Marvel) cranking out movies and each player can only crank out so many movies a year. If Marvel/Disney took Fox out of the equation, that would eliminate a certain amount of movies a year, which would suck. Therefore, I am somewhat okay with Fox still owning those characters as long as they are doing well with them. However, if they start sucking it up like they have done with the Fantastic Four or Sony did with Spiderman, I’m all for them going back to Marvel. As you can see, I respect both sides of the argument.

Just curious for those that are up-to-date on Season 3 of Agents of Shield (I haven't started season 3 yet), but has there been any major character crossovers yet from the movies? Some examples in the past have been Nick Fury, Maria Hill, Peggy Carter, Dr. List, Lady Sif... etc. Surely they'll have someone right, even if it is someone from the upcoming Civil War movie?

Not that I recall. They seem to try to be distancing themselves from the movies, kind of like Daredevil and Jessica Jones.

Bummer. I will say the most likely time though will be more towards the end of the season around when Civil War comes out with some type of bigger crossover event, just like they did in the previous two seasons. At a minimum, you should see some lead-up and some fallout from the big Civil War. I'm just hoping for a few character crossovers as well. Shoot, just toss us a bone with some smaller level characters like Dr. List or Lady Sif.

Didn't know if people saw this, but they've just recently cast Finn Jones as Iron Fist for his upcoming Netflix and Defenders series:

Personally, I don't know anything about this kid as I've never even seen Game of Thrones. On the surface, I'm inevitably dissapointed since I had quite a few different actors I kind of wanted to get the part, particularly Dan Stevens or Ryan Phillipe. I also really liked the idea of casting an Asian-American in the part too more so than anything, which they obviously didn't do. What are your thoughts?

Full Disclosure: I've been proven completely wrong in my casting decision opinions before. Hoping the same thing happens here.

Starz has been showing Guardians of the Galaxy this month. I did a re-watch. Damn, that movie was solid. I wish I'd gone to see it in theatres. The trailers didn't pique my interest at all.

Jones will be good. Hes done a great job in GoT

Can you see him as Danny Rand though? The role is pretty demanding with high martial arts use (Kung-fu master). I'm just curious. There are plenty of good actors out there, but does he actually fit the role?

GotG 2 will be out in near future. They also have a Disney XD animated series too.

Yeah, it is definitely a fun, creative romp. Not really a super-hero movie either like the other MCU movies, but definitely more of a space epic. Shoot, the movie is more similar to Star Wars than it is to any of the other Marvel movies. However, that is what makes Marvel great. They are trying to create a ton of sub-genre movies/shows within the overall superhero movie context. GOTG is your space epic, Winter Soldier is more your spy thriller, Ant-Man is more your comedy heist movie option, Civil War will be more your intense drama, Dr. Strange will be your trippy magic realm movie, AOS is more your family TV show, Daredevil is your "R" rated street crime show, and Jessica Jones is your psychological thriller.

However, while GOTG is a fun romp of a movie, it still did have its flaws, particularly another weak villain, just like many of the other movies.

Yes, they do have an XD animated series out there too with characters similar to the movies. However, that entire animated series is completely separate from the MCU and its canon. None of the animated series have anything to do with the MCU, even though they may share some likeness in characters.

Looks like a few more people out there were allowed to see Civil War early and it looks like they have nothing but good things to say again. With that said, based on all the early opinions out there so far, particularly that of James Gunn's (Guardians of the Galaxy director), I just don't see any way this movie isn't good.

Also, beings how my favorite MCU movie so far was Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and that this movie sounds like an exact sequel to that with the same directors and the same tone, I think I'll REALLY REALLY like this movie.

Sweet new pics, but I also LOVE Captain America. He is my favorite superhero.
