To recap from the announcements at ComicCon: The Captain Marvel solo film takes place in the 90s and Nick Fury will co-star. Fury will not have his eye-patch yet, most likely we find out how he ends up with only 1 eye in this movie. The villains of the movie will be the Skrulls and Kevin Feige said that the Kree-Skrull War will be part of the "mythology" of Captain Marvel:

Speaking with IGN, Kevin Feige revealed the great Kree-Skrull War will factor heavily into the plot of Captain Marvel:

There’s an entire section of our comics that deal with the Kree/Skrull War and we haven’t tapped into that at all. And we thought that would be an amazing, huge portion of mythology to belong to Captain Marvel.

Would love to watch this, but I'm still trying really hard to limit myself to only one trailer per movie. The results have been much better when I do. It is killer though not watching stuff. Didn't 4th watch the new Justice League trailer either.

You can watch it, makes a more informed consumer .

With the Thor trailer, I thought the Hulk-Fenris Wolf shot had some iconic potential, until the shot of Hulk and Surtur.

That one's going to be amazing.
Saw more of the Infinity War footage today. Marvel is actually pulling this crazy thing off.

First wave of reviews for the first half (4 episodes) of The Defenders is out, and they are mixed.

Interesting. Here is a spoiler-free review from someone that watched the first episode that they aired at SDCC.

This review comes off very positive. I wonder if that just had to do with the environment that they watched it in? A room full of fanboys & fangirls at SDCC is sure to sway your opinion more favorably. It's crazy how drastically the io9 article views Sigouney Weavers character compared to how Empire saw her. I'm hoping that this series can be more entertaining than Iron Fist and Luke Cage.

Based on what Marvel is reportedly ordering through Netflix, it looks like the combination of Daredevil Season 3 and Iron Fist Season 2 will total out to 23 episodes, which means that one of them will likely be only 10 episodes while the other will be the traditional 13 episodes.

At least it seems like fan voices are being heard to some extent, including my own. There is no doubt that I've been a big advocate for shortening down these series in general due. Shoot, I'm a big fan myself of only 8 episodes as it seems like nearly all these Marvel Netflix series we've seen so far have been about 8 episode series stretched out into 13 episodes, resulting in a bunch of filler. This is also why I'm still excited to see what Marvel can do with The Defenders series since it is already only 8 episodes.

One thing Ragnorak accomplished:

It's legendarily hard to get Led Zeppelin music for films and TV shows.

They did it!

So regarding the Defenders series, I am hearing Danny Rand is again, horrible in this series and the show overall seems a bit cheaply done. But with that said, the series is getting mixed reviews so perhaps DD and the other characters along with the storyline make the show worth watching. I will have tempered expectations.

Yeah, reviews for sure seem mixed so far. However, at the most, everyone has only seen half the episodes. Therefore, I'm hoping that the back half of the series really goes all out and impresses everyone.

Interesting comments between Tom Holland and Kirsten Dunst over her pretty much dogging his film. Thought Tom handled it well. Not so much on Kirsten's part.

Her comments made it seem like Homecoming was somehow riding the coattails of the original Maguire/Dunst movie, which is way off IMO. They were so drastically different that it was very possible to enjoy each of them for what they were.

As far as it being a cash grab, this wasn't some loosely throw together sequel with a poor plot, bad dialogue and lower production value. If she wants to argue that they were hoping to make money off it, well, duh. It's a summer blockbuster.

That all seemed unusually bitter. I'll try to give her a little pass, though. I'm guessing she has probably been fielding questions about it for awhile and finally got sick of them.

I thought it just sounded snooty of her and almost seemingly like she never has nor never will give it a chance, regardless of how good or bad it turned out. Like you said, for one, Sony needs to make money, and for two, the premise of this new Spidey is significantly different than her Spidey. If there was one to argue a cash grab, it was the Andrew Garfield Spidey movies.

Dave Bautista talking about whether or not he read the whole Infinity War script. The more and more I see of this dude, the more I love him. I'm not a wrestling fan either, so I know nothing of his past. Shoot, he may not even be that good of an overall actor, but you got to give him credit that he has done really good with what he has done so far. Also, if I was in his shoes, I wouldn't have read the script either, but then again, I try to even avoid all trailers anymore. I want to do anything possible to just feel like a kid again while watching these movies. Wonder Woman definitely did that for me this year the most of all the superhero movies. Infinity War has the chance to be off the charts for me in that category.

I chose not to read it. Gods honest truth! I want to sit there with my bucket of popcorn and bag on M&M's and be surprised! #fanboy https://twitter.com/pottertardis/status/892698243364249600 …

I know what the opening scene of Infinity War is and Drax doesn't?

I feel special.
