Lucca to have knee surgery

Depends on how bad stuf is in there. Arthroscopic isnt too bad you can recover from that fairly fast, like a week probaly. How long he is out all depends on what they fix when they are in there.

Minnesota QB Adam Weber led the Gophers to wins over Ind on Oct 4 and Ill on Oct 11. In between he had arthroscopic knee surgery. Let's hope that it can be that successful for Lucca.

I'm hoping that it doesn't turn out to be a kneecap issue which can be hard to deal with. Best hope might be that they discover a minor irritation that can be cleaned up while it is being scoped.

I wish they knew what it was. These exploratory surgeries are always kinda scary...
I asked a couple times what it was that was causing the pain, they seriously don't know. My question is how do you not have any idea after an MRI...I have never had any medical problems, so I'm not familar with how these results come back.

Are they doing the exploritory surgery because the swelling is so bad the MRI didn't show anything or is this common? Sorry my injuries were always ankles, I don't know anything about knees.

I was told that they are scoping it and they should know what is going on by Friday.

Greenwald or Buck will take care of him well.

Agreed. Dr. Sneller is good too, and a cool guy to work with. My wife had her meniscus scoped by him this summer. In the event that this is just a clean-up, he should walk out of the hospital. My wife was back to running in about 3 weeks, and she's not a world-class athelete with access to top-notch trainers.

I'll wait to think the sky is falling until after we hear the news about his surgery.

Everyone always seems to be debbie-downers. Where are the glass half full people on this website lately.

After the second kick, you pretty much lose all feeling.

Obviously this sucks.

However, look at the bright side...if Staiger misses enough of the season everyone will have a convenient excuse as to why 2009-2010 is McDermott's "first real season" as Cyclone HC.

This is about someone being injured - can we just let ONE opportunity for a jab at Mac go by unnoticed? This is to everyone in general - come on, show some class.
