I think Desmond or Widmore are coming.


Who is the 108 degree? Was the reason that they pressed the button at 108 minutes to keep someone off the island and not to maintain the magnetism?

I really hope that isnt the end for Sawyer. I would rather have him dying after redeeming himself. Maybe go out saving someones life.

Hugo stating that he is a candidate to (guy whose name I don't recall) was great. "Now why don't you go back to the plaza." I thought it was a great episode and it seemed that the story actually moved forward and not sideways.

Infected Claire needs to ride a machete. Im not liking her at all.
 
They are really leading up to what the island is and why it is important to the outside world. The Alt. timeline has become a bit disappointing to me so far, and will remain this way until they tie it in or big it back around full circle. For now, it is just an easter egg hunt. For example, the stuffed whale Claire had in her bag was the same whale Aaron has holding in season 4 when Jack & Kate were off-island and breaking up.

Also in season 4, Ben visits Widmore and when asked if was there to kill Charles, he replies "You know I can't do that." Ben is wearing black, Charles is wearing white.

More tonight after rewatch.

Just because we never saw jack and his son before doesn't mean he actually didn't have one. Perhaps introducing his son wouldn't have made any sense until now

The Catalyst was the destruction of the Island. It leads me to think that perhaps David's mother was someone from the island that never went as a result of there being no island.
 
Okay, so I'm not a master of the Japanese language, but I know some. When Dogen finds Hurley in the temple hallway, and after Hurley tells Dogen he is a candidate, Dogen says some stuff in Japanese. I'm not 100%, for Japanese is a horribly difficult language, but what I interpreted was along the lines of "You are chosen, if you were not, I would cut off your head."

They translate it as: "You're lucky that I have to protect you. Otherwise I'd have cut your head off."
