Just curious if we are ever going to know who this "mystery recruit" is for MBB?? Seems like we knew all the other names ahead of time...why is this one so top secret? Do we not have a good chance and so they don't want to get the fan base excited about something that is unlikely?

Any insight would be helpful...

Don't know about that...I've seen Jeremy mention Josh Love by name several times and then he always adds "plus another person". Maybe you are right and I'd be happy with Love because I do think we need one more "big". I guess we'll see in the next week or two what pans out.

My sources have specifically asked me not to reveal the name yet due to certain circumstances. I have always tried to state most of what I know, however, in this instance, I really cannot divulge the name at this point.

I respect you honoring your sources request. Can you at least indicate a timeline we will know....one week? two weeks? Not sure what day the Spring signing period ends.

Jeremy I take it the staff doesn't want the kid's name out there as being associated with ISU cause we got a legit shot and if others knew we'd get iced out?

A good place to start looking would be decommits from Oklahoma (2 forwards and 1 guard). They are all studs.

There are transfers all over the place.. It might even be a guy that is tranfering to us and will sit out a year...

I saw that 3 top 100 players ditched out of Oklahoma but none are listed as a center, although, there are two forwards. As far as "good" transfers available, there is the ex-Duke player Boetag(sp?) but I doubt he is our guy. I really am very interested to hear who it might be. This whole "undercover" thing adds to the mystery. I hope its someone with some great creditials.

I doubt that it will be a big name recruit. I suspect that there is someone under that radar (like Wesley Johnson) that McDermott is looking at, and he doesn't want his name to be public information so other programs start looking at him too.

Yeah, I'm fine with that too, as long as the guys has some credentials. Wes Johnson is a good example. He had multiple MVP awards and really wants to be good. I love WJs attitude already and he hasn't even played a game yet. I trust that anyone McD is looking at will be a "Diamond in the Rough" type player.

My sources indicate that it could be either:

Bill Brasky 10'-0", 300 lb. son of a buck.

or

Jesus H. Christ (I heard his dad is a big cyclone fan.) 6'1", 185 lb. Yes, he's a little undersized for a center but he can rebound; great leadership abilities. He could really be the saviour of this program.
