Local Plans for Denver

Some people mentioned pizza. I like slice works on colfax, by far my favorite NY type slices. Also if you are looking for really good beer and pizza, hops and pie in the highlands. Both not great proximity to the Pepsi center but if you have a vehicle it's not a problem.

Have they cleaned colfax up? Use to be anything west of broadway was okay. But east....................!

I was in Denver last year for a bachlor party. We stayed at an airbnb place about a mile or so south of downtown. In any case, there was a restaurant/bar called Historians that was awesome. Get the Chorizo Burger if they have it. It may have been a special. The street it is on is Broadway, which had a lot of other cool places to hang out as well.

I work right near there and eat there all the time. Great burger/ beer deals for lunch!

Great Divide Brewery (The Ballpark Location) is a great place to hang out before bar hopping on Market Street. $1 beer samples which are decent sizes. Lots of good food and drinks around there.

It's all relative but most visitors probably wouldn't think so. There are a few gems as far a bars and restaurants go.

I don't eat at Historians anymore after they found a dead rat in the kitchen.

It's a little more difficult to get a random handy than it was a couple years ago, but still not too bad.

I was at Prohibition (On East Colfax) one night and we sat near a window. Three times during the hour we were there, police stopped a random pedestrian walking along Colfax and busted them for something. Lovely people walk up and down Colfax.

And that area is paradise compared to East Colfax east of say Colorado Blvd.

To add, Living the Dream brewery (a ways from the Pepsi Center) is run by a CFanatic. Dry Dock Brewery in Aurora (also a ways from the Pepsi Center) is run by ISU peeps.

Sounds like good places for a CF meet-up! We need to be hearing from these folks. Why aren't they posting and helping us set something up?

Unfortunately, it's about 30 minutes from the Pepsi Center.

From what I've heard you go to casa bonita once, and then never again, lol.

It tastes exactly like those $2 1 lb Mexican meals you can buy at wal-mart, but its like $15 and all you can eat. Worth the experience if you have little kids though!

Still, if it is run by a CF-er, I think we should support it!

Good point. It's a shame I haven't been there yet. Although I bet it is doing fine. It gets great reviews so it is surely crawling with yuppies.

Or Casa Bonita. I have never been there, I just know it exists and it was on South Park.

It does exist. Order those donut things filled with syrup. The Heart El Burstios or something like that.
Then slip up to Golden for the Coors tour. Then go smoke a bunch of weed, because that's what CO is known for now.
