Local Plans for Denver

To add, Living the Dream brewery (a ways from the Pepsi Center) is run by a CFanatic. Dry Dock Brewery in Aurora (also a ways from the Pepsi Center) is run by ISU peeps.

Thats awesome! Dry Dock is my favorite brewery. My pool league plays every once in a while at steel tips behind it. I get my growler filled atleast once a month. Apricot Blonde is my favorite, but love their Vanilla Porter. Also if anybody goes up to the mountains make sure to stop at the tributary at 244 as well as tommy knocker brewery.

My brother MIGHT be doing a show Thursday night in Denver. He lived up there for 3 or 4 years and was a favorite at all the comedy clubs. He still performs up there quite a bit. Anyways, he told his friend Don we were coming up for the game, and Don is doing a show Thursday night and said he will see if he can get my brother on the bill as well. Not sure if it will happen or not, but either way we will be at that venue. Don is very funny so if anyone is up for some stand-up comedy, I will find out the details of the show and post them later today.

You guys are crazy if you don't take advantage at least one day of legal pot there.

If you go with an edible, as many folks do since it is easy, I wouldn't start with more than 5 mg, you don't want to take the train into uncomfortably high town.

Also keep in mind that the dosage levels are dramatically off in most edibles, its best to start with a 1/4 of it and go from there. Source: My buddy is a Dr in Denver and has visitors checked into the hospital all the time from consuming to much weed, flipping out, and then thinking they are dying.

Also keep in mind that Nebraska really enjoys busting people coming from Colorado heading back to Iowa. I had my pickup torn apart after the officer asked where I had taken my Kayak. They assume if youre under 40 and were in CO you have weed on you.

Anyone going to the open practice today? I work a few blocks from the Pepsi Center and am going to check it out. Has anyone ever been to these? Sounds like it's a pretty loose atmosphere.

Whats the legal age to purchase? I'm old and not interested, but a friend of mine who works as a substance abuse counselor in the school said weed usage has skyrocketed after Colorado legalized it. Assumption was somebody was driving out there and bringing it back to sell. Was just curious on the age, if 18 then it's very possible a HSer is doing it.

Pretty sure it's 21.

Cops say usage is up. Academics are say its down. Who you want to believe?
Also heard it will turn you into a dogg

So, what about that CF brew pub? Any plans other than Society? Heading there in a few hours for bottomless mimosas and donuts!

Found some nice places down near the Tech Center. C.B.& Potts is a really nice game-watch environment, big room, lots of TVs, and a giant screen for the game-of-the-moment. They also have big windows for looking into their brewery. Good menu too.

It ought to be said that the Pepsi Center has good food. I had a hot dog with bacon strips and cole slaw. Excellent. Also had a fruit cone with the cone coated on the inside with chocolate and then Ghiradelli's chocolate dripped on top. Never seen anything like it. Seems like every vending station had something that looked really good.

Ah, yeah. Potts is good. I usually get the meatloaf.
