Agree. CMC doesn't even tell Erica who's playing and who's not.

Especially when he’s already used his redshirt. This year doesn’t count towards future eligibility anyway, so no benefit to burning a medical red shirt.
CMC just said that he expected Downing would be back “later in the year”, so did you pick up something new?Collin Newell got banged up on Saturday as well (arm)
Wasn't it confirmed that Downing is done for the year?
Haven't heard anything on Ramos
FIFY. Going back to about 2000.It appears that CMC & staff have done a decent job of evaluating OL recruits. They sure muffle any injury news. The development of these young guys is a nice differentiator from prior staffs.
Hudson was a sixth OL in a couple of sets against OU. Not sure he’s completely healthy yet.Believe I saw Hudson a couple times in the OU game too. Guessing he has just lost his spot at this point. The young guys have been great but I’m surprised Grant Treiber hasn’t been one of the guys thrown out there to play yet.
You can't put tomatoes out there against any Big 12 team and expect good results.
Seriously though, I thought you were no longer allowed to go over the snapper on kicks. The block came from a guy who went over the snapper and leveraged off of a teammate. Pick either one of those to throw a flag. But I have never seen a flag thrown for leverage - not even on that KSU blocked PAT a few years ago that was a textbook example of leverage.

Where did you hear downing is out for the year?

Rumor has it Downing is done for the year. Can anyone shed some light on Downing’s injury and also Ramos exiting yesterdays game?
I assume that it is a high ankle issue. These are slow to heal and easy to reinjure. Usually takes at least six weeks to recover, but can take anywhere from 3 months up to 12 months in severe cases to regain full mobility.
I believe there's no such thing as a medical redshirt anymore. What used to be called a medical redshirt is now just a "normal" redshirt. This year doesn’t count towards future eligibility anyway, so no benefit to burning a medical red shirt.
You’re probably right on that. The four game rule doubtless obviates the need for medical reasons to get the redshirt.I believe there's no such thing as a medical redshirt anymore. What used to be called a medical redshirt is now just a "normal" redshirt.
I’m going to guess that if there’s another injury at RT, either Foster flips to the right side and Treiber comes in at LT, or Hufford shows positional versatility and fills in at RT.So is Treiber now the back up at both tackle spots or is Miller or one of the other true freshmen in the mix?
Bruns was actually chortling with glee on the radio Saturday about how good Simmons is at combination blocks.I noticed that these young guys are really good at starting in a double team to get movement and then coming off the double team to get a block at the next level. Maybe we are more athletic this year, but I don’t remember us being this successful in our double team blocks in the past.

Thought I was the only person left that uses "obviate".You’re probably right on that. The four game rule doubtless obviates the need for medical reasons to get the redshirt.

Ross looked injured last game, was in sweats. So far the seven guys that have made starts look Big XII worthy for sure. That leaves us 4 non true freshman scholarship O-linemen, Hudson, Ross and Hufford on the inside and Treiber at OT. Makes you wonder how many more we can lose and not see a drop-off.
Personally I think a huge plus is the 2 R-freshmen that have been called upon are actually the ones with the lower rankings coming in. What I mean is Treiber and Hufford likely at some point will be solid contributors as well.
Correction, Remsburg didn't start but played 3/4 of the game yesterday.
You ask him if he knows Erica and he would talk about how many Ericas there are in this program and how its important that all the Ericas work is valued as part of the whole organization.Without everyones contribution none of this would be possible. All of our Ericas are just trying to be alittle better each day. Blahblahblah.Agree. CMC doesn't even tell Erica who's playing and who's not.
