Lindell!

I'm just a little curious why people are so down on Long. I thought it was a given he'd get no time this year with the experience in our backcourt
I don't think people are down on Long at all. I think he starts the first game. But it might be more of who is coming in. I think it's a lock that DJ and Babb starts that leaves just 1 spot for Long. If Lindell is as good as advertised then it'll be hard for Long to crack the starting lineup. But with how young we'll be next year he's going to see a lot of mins either way.

Baby Ball is incredible, his brother ...woof.

LaMelo Ball scored 36 points for Chino Hills (25-1). LiAngelo Ball re-injured a sore ankle in the second half and that seemed to hurt his effectiveness. He had 23 points on eight of 35 shooting.

Lindell is no normal freshman. He plays on one of the best high school teams in the country that is loaded with D1 talent and he is the Alpha Dog. I can't imagine a guard being more ready to play as a freshman than Lindell.

Both Lindell and Jackson can play off the ball or play with the ball in their hands. I think CSP uses them interchangeably.

Not sure anyone is down on him. I sure hope he's a contributor next season, but don't see him starting. The guy has size, that's for sure.

I remember when we were recruiting him, people talked about how good his defense was. I would love it if he could come in and be great perimeter defender, and size to creat mismatches on offense.

8/35? Like, that's not a typo?

Holy crap. You have to think his coach tried to encourage him to shoot less, right?

Lindell will start from day one. I think he and Jackson will be a very solid back court next year.

He seems very polished and always under control. Strange that they didn't have him with the ball more. In fact I don't think I saw him bring the ball up once in that vid.

This is coming just from things I've read - I haven't seen Lindell play a single minute.

But, Monte's style of play is truly unique....Always under control and always probing for the weakness in a defense & looking for an open teammate. But, Monte isn't the most explosive guy on the court.

From what I understand, Lindell may be more of an explosive, get to the bucket, type of player, but may not have the vision of Monte. From a style of play, I believe he's closer to Mason. No, I'm not saying he's the next Mason, just the style of play is similar.

Agree, difficult to compare incoming players to current players, especially someone like Monte. I was thinking Lindell may be more like Blalock as Lindell is more athletic than Mason. Also seems to be more of a scorer than Monte was in HS. I'm content if Lindell's as good as either of them, however.

LiAngelo is the worst Ball brother. All he can do is shoot 3's

Wow Lindell knows how to finish at the rim.

Anyone that thinks LW doesn't start day 1 is crazy..kid is a stud. He's a better ball handler than DJ...if u want to see what LW game is like go,back and watch The Just game cause his style and game looks a lot like frank mason game..we've not had a pg that can just get to the rim like he can maybe ever.

I was told he is more like a Frank Mason, but he actually is coming into college a much higher level than Mason started at. (Mason was not heavily recruited)

Love Mason's game, if this kid is like him, we are in good hands

What kind of coach let's a kid shoot 35 shots... While making 8

You guys are underselling Wigginton. He's one of the best recruits in Iowa State history. We don't get guys like this. He will be a starter and one of our best players from the start. I'd be shocked if him and DJ don't average double figures next season. We will miss Monte, but I'm excited to watch that backcourt. Both of those guys get buckets.

Their PG is Matt Coleman, who I think is ranked ahead of Lindell in most of the services and committed to Texas - should really help them to have a PG next year. I personally think we got the way better player, but that's just me.
