I love how people act so entitled. We are a 6-6 team and finished 9/10 in the Big 12. With all that considered, Memphis is not a bad option.
Predictions on the opening line? I have no idea
Riiiiiiiiight. Because 6-6 in the most ridiculously deep conference is terrible. Minnesota or Michigan State at 6-6 don't deserve bowling, at least at their current locations.
Geniuses in scheduling dept.... Awsome....stupid pundits, all had us pegged for Dallas.
There are a billion bowls with many of them having match ups like ours. How the hell can you say that? Top 10 SOS and 6-6 record....

.500 teams do NOT deserve bowl games.
The only people who think that .500 teams deserve to go to bowls are fans of .500 teams.
It's a joke and it's why bowl games are now meaningless as an indicator of excellence.
The problem with saying 6-6 teams do not deserve bowl games is that NIU would not finish above 6-6 with our schedule, yet they are playing in the Orange Bowl. CFB postseason is not about what you deserve, it is about popularity, and apparently the MAC is darn close to the Big 12 in that regards. There are a billion bowls with many of them having match ups like ours.

Do teams that are 2nd to last in their conference normally get bowl invites?
In a conference that dominated every other conference, absolutely. This isn't a normal situation or a normal conference.
Certainly not if you are in the Big 10, but I know you are well aware of how awful that Big 10 team is.Do teams that are 2nd to last in their conference normally get bowl invites?
