3 ISU alums, and 1 hawk? Assuming, that the hawk isn't an Iowa alum, that's the joke right there.

I'm trying my best, no one was even interested in the punchline to my joke.
If Headline News wants to start a thread making fun of us I don't care, they can do what they want.
The one hawk fan just got me good... Put a hawk flag up on my balcony for the day while im at work...View attachment 23640
These are great! Keep em coming!
Got a few texts from my father in-law (fellow hawk fan):
"Does Iowa State even have a player from the state of Iowa? I thought they were all from San Quenton..."
"All transfers from the dept of corrections..."
I had to use the NIT joke, that was perfect!
This is my favorite dig that I hear Hoks give. I almost want to apologize to them for going out of state to find real talent.
This is my favorite dig that I hear Hoks give. I almost want to apologize to them for going out of state to find real talent. I am not sure they quite realize that Iowa is somewhere between Wyoming and Alaska as far as athletic talent for basketball and football are concerned. There are about 10 good/great players every year and then a MASSIVE drop off. It is also not ISU's fault that the Iowa recruits in wrestling would rather pay full tuition and be a practice body at Iowa than be a starter at ISU. This dig would be an insult if say Texas AM levied it against Texas about Texas recruits. Iowa is not an athletic state or fertile recruiting ground in much at all.
