Good analysis, could not agree more. I watched the Texas/TTU game and TTU ran all over them and could do whatever they wanted on the ground, so what did Tech do? They continued to pass the ball even with the ground game wide open. Tech would have ran away, literally, with that game but they were persistent that they wanted to pass the ball and Texas is better against the pass than against the run, even though their pass defense is not that great either. We heed to go 60-40 run to pass IMO.

I understand what you're saying, but I've only felt good about our offense under Mess when we keep it at 50-50. Obviously Texas has horrible run defense, but it doesn't seem like we've done real well against anyone this season when we tried to stray from an extremely balanced game.

I think we can run on TX, get it established, and that just opens up the passing game. Maybe for the first time this season, the stated goal of being a "run first" team will come into it's full glory.

Yeah but you think we'll play angry? Maybe angrier than we did against OU?

we're definitely going to need the O-Line to show up... Tech had push on the D-Line all game. Their corners are some of the best in the conference too... hopefully get sound QB decision making as a bonus (which SJ has impressed me with lately)

Way to wait till the last minute


The UT win against TT has me concerned but I feel about the same way I did against TCU beforehand, so maybe it'll happen again like 2 years ago.

Definitely want to get the 7th win - either here or vs WVU - I expect to win against KU - to show continuing improvement over last year. I think that's important for the fans and the recruits for something to point to.
