Last 3 Seed

Creighton may be ahead of us, but I'd sure as hell rather play UNC right now than Baylor in the 3rd round.

OSU isn't nearly the team they were last year, but they always seem to get these random acts of luck during the tourney(See vs ISU and vs Arizona last year), so it was nice to avoid them as well. No doubt d00k gets the best potential matchup out of the 6 seeds playing against a flailing UMass team, but they also have a potential sweet 16 match up against Michigan.

Seems about 4 spots too low imo, and playing a team like UNC in the second round is a tough draw for a team that would have been in the top-10 this week.

Umm, no. Creighton is a good team, for the Big East. UNC is much ore talented and beat MSU (when healthy irrc), Louisville, Duke, and Kentucky and 7 tournament teams.

So if we'd have lost to KSU in round one a 5 seed could have been likely for us in spite of most experts thinking we were a 3 no matter what.

Pretty much every draw is tough...I mean Wichita State is getting boned for being a 1 seed. I think we actually have a pretty solid draw

I want to know how Wisconsin & Michigan gets a 2 seed while MSU gets a 4 seed even though they just breezed through the tourney. Their players did not look very happy when announced. However, i like their spot more than ours and would trade.

Edit: well guess they did beat Florida early on and at UVA (48-38 really come on :skeptical:).

I meant I'd rather be in our position and play UNC, than be in Creighton's position and play Baylor.

I can live with that. Playing for a spot in EE. Hoiberg is doing it the right way.
Disagree.

See the the well agreed upon toughest conference got a 2/3 seed. The big 10 served up a pile of crap and they 2 #2 seeds. It is bull.

I agree - Wichita is getting screwed.

I have no problem with Wichita St getting screwed. I argued they deserved a 1-seed, but all the arguments that they didn't face anybody still hold for me. As far as I'm concerned they can prove they deserve the 1-seed in the tournament.

You guys, just like Bill Self, always have had Roy's number.. I think I'd rather have your draw than WSUs. Good luck guys. With your seniors, Niang and most importantly the Mayor, I think I'm going to enjoy watching you guys the rest of the month at the very least.

Yeah, playing a team that was ranked higher than you on Selection Sunday is the normal second round draw for 3-seed. Playing a team with several McD's and 5-star recruits and beat Duke, Louisville, MSU (when healthy), and UK is the normal second round game for a 3-seed. Look at the other 6-seeds. You will notice a big difference.

The Big 12 have 7 of 10 teams as top-35 while playing a true round robin, while the BIG has 4 of 14 in the top-35 while playing an unbalanced schedule. Yet, the top of the Big got better seeds.

They also lost to Belmont at home, Texas at home, snuck by davidson at home, lost @Wake Forest, and to Miami at home.

Sure, UNC has great talent, but they are very suspect at being consistent, and they go as Paige goes.

So theyre bad against bad teams. Guess that tells us what we're going to see in the tournament.

Or maybe our patented slow starts will lull them into thinking they should suck it up too.

Well we tried that with Baylor and it worked pretty well
