Last 3 Seed

They also lost to Belmont at home, Texas at home, snuck by davidson at home, lost @Wake Forest, and to Miami at home.

Sure, UNC has great talent, but they are very suspect at being consistent, and they go as Paige goes.
This is not a seven game series, and they have been consistent for almost two months. You do not win 12 in a row over the past month and a half if you are not consistent.
How many 3-seeds face playing a team in the second round that was ranked higher than them on Selection Sunday? Especially a 3-seed from a conference with 7 out of 10 teams in the top-35 seeds?

Yeah, playing a team that was ranked higher than you on Selection Sunday is the normal second round draw for 3-seed. Playing a team with several McD's and 5-star recruits and beat Duke, Louisville, MSU (when healthy), and UK is the normal second round game for a 3-seed. Look at the other 6-seeds. You will notice a big difference.

The Big 12 have 7 of 10 teams as top-35 while playing a true round robin, while the BIG has 4 of 14 in the top-35 while playing an unbalanced schedule. Yet, the top of the Big got better seeds.

Assuming we even play UNC, we just need to shut Paige down and keep them off the glass. Not a huge ask IMHO.

Yeah, teams like MSU, UK, Duke, and Louisville disagree.

Yeah, teams like Belmont, UAB, Wake Forest and Miami agree. UNC has the potential to show up, but they're also very suspect outside of Chapel Hill. Getting shat on by Pittsburgh in the ACC tourney wasn't a fluke. They don't travel to other sites as well (outside of @MSU). 12 straight may seem impressive, but not when it's against the bottom half of the ACC + Duke at home. Who knows, though, UNC could go on one of those miracle runs to the Final Four.

They lost by 5 to Pitt and no one is arguing they be considered for a 1 or 2-seed.

If you think a 3-seed playing a team in the second round that was ranked ahead of them on Selection Sunday and is not a tough draw for a 3-seed you are nuts.

Yeah, they have elite talent but Fred can coach circles around Deputy Dawg making the match-up pretty even.

They are no sure thing to beat Providence BTW.

Too bad we didn't get the Ohio St. six seed. That would have been some nice payback.

We need to become known for beating the best . . . Kansas, North Carolina, etc.

If Kane can shut down Chery at the end of the Baylor game (at the end of 3 games in 3 days), he can shut down Paige.

That is why the committee meets at the site of the BIG tournament in Indianapolis.

I am with you on that. We have three chasers on our guard group with matt as a fourth. We are use to chasing that guard hotshot.

We have to remember he is a lefty.

Paige on his worst day is probably still better than Chery on his best. Chery had just played 4 games in 4 days.

I agree - Wichita is getting screwed.

They're getting a possible shot at KSU. Their coach said they offered to play anyone home and home. I gather KU and KSU are refusing to play them. Don't they have a state governing body which could require that? Could we completely ignore UNI?

Yeah, and they could lose to Providence too. Which I'm actually picking them to do.

Why would KU or K-State schedule them? They gain nothing from it. If Wichita State really wanted to get some of these teams to bite they would agree to play a home and neutral site (like KC) instead of home and home.
