LA Tech Transfer Holden visiting in May

My point is that this kid has 1 year to play. We have a top 5-10 back court. Very little front court experience. 5 straight tourney appearances, sweet 16 2 out of the last 3 years.

There will always be a decent school that is closer to 99 out of 100 guys we recruit.

TJ is gone, so it's time for this crew to put their big boy pants on and land what they need.

EMO.

And you're going to judge the staff's recruiting ability based on 1 grad transfer. Got it.

Nope, I didn't say that. I said I wouldn't be real confident.

So far they've targeted LG Gill, Livingston and Holden. Obviously they want an additional grad transfer big man. Gill is leaning Texas, Livingston heading to St. John's, so we need to pull in Holden.

So far in recruiting, this staff's body of work isn't sufficient for me to be confident in them. Landing a prime target that fills an obvious need would make me feel better.

This is all fair and totally realistic

To be fair, you did say "won't have a lot of confidence"...pretty big difference

Well I hope someone lets them know your confidence in them lies on them getting Holden. That might light a spark under those lazy ****ers to work a little harder.

My opinion is meaningless to the situation and I've never said otherwise. But that begs the question why you're getting so bent out of shape over a differing opinion.

I like Prohm. I would give him a B+ for the regular season, A- for the post season, and a B so far in recruiting.

My only concern is the future of recruiting with the guy who pulled 90% of the recruiting weight leaving.

So far their track record is too small to judge. Holden will be one more piece of info that will tell us how effective they recruit.

Amazing we made it to the sweet 16 with these bench warmers from Marquette. Marquette must be celebrating their second consecutive NCAA title right....?

You're an idiot. Not all players are good fits for all schemes. Learn a thing or two before you speak.

While ISU seems like a logical choice over Illinois, but all bets are off when the home state team is in play.

This is true. However even if Holden has a large impact he will only be a small piece in the recruiting track record. It seems to me to be a silly spot to place an arbitrary line in the sand.

Anyone know if Holden has made it for his visit? I assume today is the start of it.

I saw Prohm and some of his staff walking around central campus with a young man whom I didn't recognize. Absolutely beautiful day to be out and about and there was, what looked to be, a group of sorority sisters in their caps and gowns taking pictures under the campanile. Well played coach, well played. ;) Pretty great day to be a Cyclone! I hope that he enjoys his visit. :)

Man I miss central campus in May.

Your right. Marquette must only recruit bad fits for their schemes then. Seems like a good strategy. You seem to be the only idiot who actually believes these players would have ridden the bench there.
