If you don't think that Hoiberg would take the Kansas job if offered then you have lost your mind. Like I said, Manning be be the next coach at Kansas but Hoiberg would take it if offered. Everyone would. There's a reason why we have only had to offer the job to one coach when the position has come open. I cannot remember a single coach ever saying no thanks to the offer.
.

I needed a good laugh today.

lulz. Funniest post I've read on this forum in a long, long time.

So does that dude think if Georges slimmed down he would all the sudden grow three inches and develop huge hops? He's got all the talent in the world, just not a freak athlete.

KUs bandwagon fans can't even phantom (umm...fathom) how a guy like Niang can even play since they are used to only thoroughbreds on their team.

Why because it is Kansas? Not everyones going to go to KU, UK, Duke, UNC, etc. Some people are happy building something at places where they have ties.

Nick Beam: That's just beetle headed!

: What is beetle headed?

Nick Beam: It's a synonym for stupid!
T. Paul: Oh. Well, here's a synonym for procreation: **** you!

I'm a KU fan with a ISU sock name. I can tell you I wouldn't trade Self for anybody but I'd take Hoiberg in a New York second. Love your team. You guys earned this win a couple times last year. Good luck the rest of the year, I really expect you to be the last conference team standing.

Thank you. You'll have to forgive people on here being tough on twocoach. He has gained quite the reputation as a "balanced" KU fan that gives the good ones a bad name.

The thing to understand is the connection between the coach and the university/community that exists between Fred Hoiberg and Iowa State/Ames. I fully expect Fred to leave someday, sooner than I want. But that won't be to a conference rival like Kansas. His dream for Iowa State is to be right there with you.

Maybe another blue blood could lure him, but I don't think so. It will be the NBA that takes him from Ames.

Soooo...you think without Embiid ISU has more talent than KU?
The nature of the tall players is that they are more injury prone. Anyone that knows anything about the science of the human body knows that gravity makes big bodies hard on the joints. You get a 7' player, you have to accept the risks.

ISU had a better season than UNC and UK. I'd be interested to see where we'd be if we played Duke's schedule.

If he did take the next Kansas job offered it would be because he likes the position he gets with referees naturally as the head Kansas basketball coach. I highly doubt Hoiberg isn't that kind of person, just because you are you, doesn't mean everyone else has to be you. That kind of logical fallacy is the downfall of so many.

KU fans have a delusional sect just like every fan base. I can tell you there's a hefty level of respect for your coach and program. I don't think Hoiberg would ever take the KU job.

Between owning the refs, paying players and getting Hoiberg imagine how many championships we could win? I'm kidding. Good luck today and the rest of the year. Would love to see you guys matched up with Wichita State in the sweet 16 or elite 8.

I don't understand your screen name.

Ellis lit up against us in one of the games last year, also. He is far and away the player I respect the most on the KU team. He has a "Melvin Ejim" feel about him...a guy that might not be the hyped-up star that many KU fans love, but over all, a guy that will be a rock for them over his career there, and a rock star at times (maybe in his senior year?). He plays hard, he plays pretty darn clean, and he's not a cocky so-and-so.

I agree with this. I remember Ellis being a thorn in our side and was hoping he was a senior, dam two more years with this guy. I'm sure others are thinking the same about Niang as well.
