Better than going 10-8 with the inherited 10-8 team?Yes, Weber made a Championship game with an extremely talented team that he inherited and an Elite 8 courtesy of Virginia making history.

Weber is nutty, and hopefully that leads to KSU collapsing down the stretch. If they don’t, trade for him or not, but he’d have two Big 12 regular season titles and at least an EE at KSU in 7 years.
Snead dusting Weber off and not letting him in to the TO huddle with the team vs KU late is all anyone needs to know about him.
“Get away Bruce don’t need you ******* this up”
I would have loved playing for Larry. Would have also loved to enjoy a beer with him to at a frat party. You can find pictures like this of Eustachy with pretty much every player on his Iowa State teams, but there were several players who didn't really like him.
K-State was literally gifted a path to the Sweet 16 that had never happened. To get to the Elite Eight K-State beat 8, 16, and 5.

It does take away from that accomplishment. And I also think that ISU had an easy path to the Sweet 16. Nothing wrong with admitting that.It doesn’t take away from the accomplishment. They beat a very solid Kentucky team in the Sweet 16 round. Otherwise the same conversation surrounds 2016 when we beat a #13 and #12 to get to the Sweet 16.
I know we had a bad season last year, but I really respected Donovan Jackson standing up and saying the team was disrespecting Hilton.
I would like to see someone stand up on this team and assume the leadership mantle. Maybe it has already happened but it hasn't been apparent to me.
KSU is good because they are tough. They won in Hilton because Brown out-toughed us over the last minutes. We need to have someone to stand up and be tough for us, it would be nice to have someone like Deandre Kane, but that personality is hard to find.
We have the talent to beat anyone, if we have someone step up and lead the team.
It's been pointed out by others we need someone to be "the guy" as well. Shayok is the most logical candidate. We need someone who wants the ball in crunch time and will find his shot when the game is on the line.
Opinions?

Surly, what do you think KSU's net ranking will end up being? Per Barttorvik, he thinks it would be 25.

What seed do you think KSU will get with that NET ranking?

Let me know when they make a toughometer to measure toughness. Every time we lose a game isn’t because we got “out-toughed”.
"It'd be nice to have someone like Deandre Kane who would stand up and be tough for us" even though that team got housed by 30 by West Virginia
If you want to go down the road of Brown using his experience and the fact that KSU plays a million close games then I can go there. Experience can be measured. Toughness/effort/wanting it more and all that crap is just fanboi garbage.
Brown wasn't tough when they got beat down by a bad A&M team

I couldn't tell you a dang thing about the NET other than it seems to rank K-State rather low comparatively. But these things work themselves out on the court. The committee adjusts for outliers. So, I don't care today and haven't followed it.
As a K-State fan, all I want is to put a dagger in the vampire's heart at AFH, win the championship there, see their entitled fans watch them bleed to death on their own floor, with Francis calling the game and explaining how it could possibly happen to almighty Ku.
After that, the dance, it's so unpredictable and little more than gravy for us, if K-State can pull off a B12 championship.
