He’s good at what he does. There is nothing wrong with admitting that.
Lol, are you seriously forgetting that Weber inherited a team at KSU that went 10-8 under Martin, and that he (Weber) won the Big 12 the next year ?

This frustrates me too. Someone on the staff has to tell him that we need his shooting and efficiency.
Agree completely with you that having Halliburton shoot more would probably be a good thing for the team. He's a good shooter off the kick out or after being set up by others and needs to shoot the wide open threes he sees.
That said, I think part of the reason he shoots so well is because he takes good shots. They're often the least contested shots. THT takes (and makes) a lot of tough shots. Sometimes, the clock is winding down and somebody has to go 1-on-1 (assuming we're playing against a team that is using man-to-man) and take harder shots, and that doesn't seem to be Halliburton's strength relative to others. He's not as solid at going 1-on-1 and creating his shot as some of his teammates are and, for better or worse, that's how Prohm has built this team. We're largely a 1-on-1, high pick and roll / pick and pop team that focuses on spacing at the end of the shot clock. Pretty common these days, but if you're going to play that way and essentially just give your man the ball, a pick and tell him to go make a play, then those go-to players are going to (logically) have a little lower shooting percentage.
Truth...good problem to have if frustrations are with someone trying to get others involved.
No Diarra is huge, K State's best lineup was Him, Brown, Stokes, Sneed and Wade. He brings big time energy and plays especially well at home. Weber may be forced to play big more than he would like against the 4 guard lineup. I think Lard being back is the difference, it'll be interesting to see if Conditt gets any run, he was the best big on the floor for either team the first time we played.

I know Wade didn't play but they beat them by 20 in Manhattan. Any coach in the world would say the same thing about a team they blew out in their own place. The truth is, they have more talent than K State, probably more than everyone but KU in this league. The problem is, that talent can't overcome his coaching.
What he actually said was " Don't over respect this team", if you read between the lines, he is telling his team to sack up and stop playing like pussies. K State is the most physical team in the league, they can intimidate you, especially a young team like Texas.
At Hilton, we didn't take the first punch or two they threw but eventually started playing tougher. That game was a fist fight, easily the most physical big 12 game I've watched this year. I expect similar this weekend, it seems Lard missing that game isn't getting talked about enough. He could have been the difference and I think he'll have a big impact Saturday.
Totally forgot that Lard missed our game at home against them. I know having him doesn't automatically give us the win at home, but it makes me feel even more confident.
Well Shaka pulled a Shaka, the guy is so overrated, I really thought Texas was gonna play with more desperation.
I figured it was time to pull out the Depends for the the rest of the league as Kansas positioned itself for coming in the back door and grabbing a share of the league.
KSU got 2 big road wins.
Love Dean Wade and his game, but until the league fully proves it has its bladder control problem fully under control, gonna go with ISU to keep KU alive for # 15

What was Wade's line in those games? I think Wade played at Tulsa but he was out for both Southern Miss and George Mason. If you watched K State against Texas their defense fed their offense. Even bad shooting teams can succeed when they are shooting layups or threes with the defense just crossing half court. And they haven't been nearly as offensively impaired lately as they were early in the season.
This game will be tough.
Wade nor Stokes played in that first Texas game at Manhattan. Shaka has a losing record in the B12 conference. He's the worst coach in the league. I wouldn't try to interpret what he was trying to say but simply accept what he did say which was scoreboard-false.
We lost by literally 1 point and we were without Lard. Did you overlook the fact that they are without their energy filled 6th man and will not be deep. Their starting 5 played the majority of Texas. If any of them gets 2 early fouls things won't look great for them. K State is a great team, but they leave a lot of open looks, they actually turn it over quite a bit from the games I have watched... We lost to K state and Baylor and then went to beat Tech on the road. Stop sulking.
Lard didn't play in Ames, so would Weber be wrong in telling his team that they were better than ISU?
Agree 100% about Shaka but at the time he said that, they were winning.
