Wait, ISU has received many large donations from wealthy alums recently. I seem to remember one announced a few months back. You guys are acting like we haven't invested ~$75 million in football facilities in the last 10 years. KSU is just doing theirs in a more condensed time frame. After our SEZ project, that's $135 million + in football facility upgrades.
Not to mention the Sukup basketball facility, the new Cyclone Sports Complex, the golf performance center, all funded with healthy donations. We may not have KState money, but we're holding our own...
Lol, because K-State is so rich. The difference with K-State is football success and people are willing to open their wallets a little wider and give more. The retired Lockheed Martin CEO is an Iowa State alum... its not like there are no successful alums. Willingness to donate and spend more on their football program is the case with people in all tax brackets of their fanbase... more wins make them more willing to spend more money. Iowa State needs a coach to win more than 3 conference games to get generous alumni donations, let alone hush people who complain about $15 parking.
