Yeah they weren't great but there were plays there. TOs again hurt and Hill's drops were bad. Other WRs had some screw ups as well. They just don't look like they are gelling on offense yet and they have no room for error with the worst defense in the NFL.

I feel like there are going to have to be major changes with the chiefs D this off season. I think trading Chris Jones might be part of those changes. Get a haul from him and remake the DL. Spagnola's defense doesn't work when you don't have guys that can get after the QB.
 
The defense is bad. Chris Jones would definitely help but not cover all the holes.
I think the expectations (both team and public) have caught up with the offense. Thinks are looking forced and tight. Mahomes had quite a few passes that he was forcing and Hill was probably thinking after the catch.
They need to take what is given and if defenses are going to take away the long ball they need to work short and Mahomes needs to take that. They really need a better running game. CEH is s good back but they need a 1-2 down and short back that could give them another dimension.
At this point they need to just push for playoffs and see what happens.

Chris Jones needs to go back to DT.
Might be a good thing he didn't play last night... Buffalo's zone read would have been good for more rushing yards then they got.

I get having more depth at DT than DE, but then they need to get a pass rusher and not take developmental guys late in the draft (Danna/Kaidoh). Guess this was also assuming Frank Clark was going to be serviceable.

How is he worth a haul at this point?
 
The Chiefs blitzed quite a bit last night and still could barely get any pressure on Josh Allen. Meanwhile the Bills literally blitzed ZERO times on Chiefs passing downs yet they were getting pressure consistently. Those are two MASSIVE problems.

Pregame has a story how Bills said they have to form a team that will beat the Chiefs and that’s why they’ve gone so D Line heavy the past few years.
The Chiefs have just reached on their offensive target while other teams are drafting to stop them.
Mecole, CEH and then missing when they do draft defense high like Speaks, Kpassagnon, etc
 
Teams have figured out the way to defense the Chiefs offense is to play a deep 2 safety defense and not allow the deep throw. Force KC to run the ball, and we do not have a decent enough back to take advantage of the defense.

The last 3 seasons the Chiefs have been drafting at the end of each round, so the type of difference makers a more difficult to find.

This past draft was spend retooling the offensive line, this next draft has be to spent doing the same with the entire defense. We need a rush end, an athletic linebacker or two and most of all we need to find a running back like Hill that can take a hit and still get yards, a Derrick Henry type if we can find one.

Veach's draft history on every pick after Mahomes is pretty bad.

We are missing Hunt, he had a great first year, beat up his girl friend, and we release him, and he is doing well in Cleveland. We should have followed the Cleveland plan, suspend him, let the league deal with it, and then bring him back the next year on one strike, do it again you are gone.

They're 7th in rushing yards on the season. 5th in rushing yards per carry. It's not like they're struggling to run the ball.

I'm not sure how you could watch KC this year and think that anything other than the defense was the primary issue.

Hunt is definitely a good running back, but only the truly elite like Henry and Kamara are consistently head and shoulders better than the average back.
