Kane's Ankle

The cast thing someone claims to have seen or whatever doesn't mean much. Obviously his ankle is sprained, but it's a way of not putting weight on it to make it heal faster.

I think he'll play on Monday, just not sure how much. The good news is that the sprain isn't the worst sprain that could happen.

I think kane will play. I think Kane will play more of the four than the one in this game to reduce his lateral movement on the perimeter. I think Naz could have a Tyrus like performance from last year on Big Monday

I'd be shocked if he plays. This is probably just to keep KU guessing...

I'm on the other end of you. I'd be shocked if he didn't play. I think they'll tape the **** out of his ankle and he'll be out there. However, I think he will see less minutes than normal

This is what I'm thinking. Kane came here to win big games like this. I'd be surprised to see him sit it out.

He will play. Can't see him sitting out. Ankle sprain hurts like hell but I think he will tough it out and play.

It depends on the ankle. If it has swollen up like a grapefruit and he can't even walk on it, he's not going to play. If the swelling is down and he can rotate it, they'll tape it up tight, give him a brace and send him out there.

All these predictions being thrown about are guesses without any basis in fact since none of us know what it looks like or feels like right now. Par for the course on Fanatic.

If Kane plays and has a 20+ pt game and a cyclone W, it could really propel him to the big XII POY race.

I think we can still win without him. I still think we have a good team. I dont want him to do further damage and save him for the long run

I don't think anyone knows for sure. I sprained my ankle playing basketball one day and it hurt like feces. The next day I couldn't do much basketball wise on it. I sprained it again playing basketball doing the same exact thing 3 months later but this time the next day it didn't bother me at all. The only ones who know anything about it now are Kane and Hoiberg most likely

If you have 4 other guys scoring in double figures, stands the reason you should have a good shot at beating teams even without him. Other guys need to step up. Seen comments how good we could be next year, would be nice if the core of that group who is coming back next year could step up and take up the slack.

Kane isn't here to get an education, he is here to win games and get drafted. This is the game he came hereto play. He looks like a tough dude to me, he will play if humanely possible.

Seth Davis just said he talked to Hoiberg this afternoon...Kane was in pain this morning still, and won't practice today (obviously). Hoiberg will take the long term approach, meaning he will sit Kane if Kane can't go as the season is more important then this game Monday.

Good. Much rather have him healthy for the long run. MM can manage the game, so the rest need to step up the scoring and defense.

I'm going to guess that he'll be dressed tomorrow, but probably won't play. Hopefully, this sprain is less severe than Chris Babb's last year....he was sidelined for a long time.
