JTS Improvements - Want More

Wrigley field added a grass (turf?) area within the ticketed venue specifically to allow kids to run around etc. Our hillsides serve a similar role. I'm in the camp that would like to see a bunch of other improvements happen before bowling in the NEZ.
We don’t need to furnish day care for people who can’t find someone to babysit their kids.

I’m certainly not any kind of designer, but considering how the Jacobson is about to be masked by the outer pedestrian ring, I’m not sure how much mimicking they were doing.

Frankly, I’m okay with the idea of the Jacobson one day going the way of the Olsen.
The roof line is visible from pretty much the entire stadium. Which coincides quite closely with the Jacobson roof line. Certainly, not by coincidence.

I drove past the stadium this afternoon. Lots of work not visible from the webcam behind buildings and hillsides on support structures for the elevated concourse/walkway. Some concrete supports north of the Jacobsen building and some starting on the NE hillside. And the Performance Center looms over the future plaza. The webcam does not do it justice.

Wish we had more angles (cameras) to watch.

All of these updates, past and ongoing, make me realize that I need to make it back to a game soon! I haven’t been to a game since the loss to Nebby on the failed 2pt conversion. Stadium looks a little different now lol.

Most disappointing/deflating game I've ever witnessed as Cyclone fan. And that's saying something. I can understand not coming back. PTSD and whatnot.

I just sat there in my seat for a good 10 minutes after that attempt. I couldn't wrap my head around the idea that the series with Nebby was going to end like that. It was close to working, too. If there was just a bit more zip on the ball they would have won it.

From my view angle I could see our tight end break free and remain wide open for a a while. Inside my head I'm "screaming throw the damn ball!" but the extra point placeholder took his time and finally lobbed a slow toss that a fast closing defensive player got to. It hurts just to type this memory.

Any thoughts on what these footings are for? I don't see anything in the plans showing anything here. Stairwell maybe?

Looks like they are setting the concrete that will be part of the tunnel. That wall is going to be pretty high on the sides to hold in all the soil. Looks like Campbell is down there with a float, smoothing out the concrete.

Pretty obvious, isn’t it?

That’s the Hawkeye Band Trap.

The bait is, you specifically tell them not to go there.

Wait a sec. Every other non-ISR thread where Iowa is mentioned, you show up and order the poster to "keep it in ISR". Yet you go ahead and bring up a stupid, pointless reference to them here. What's wrong with you?

The Hawkeye Band is a special animal all to itself. You might not have noticed, but it’s also not a mention of their football team.

If you lack a sense of humor (or just don’t get the reference), that’s your problem, not mine.

As I understand it, that spot is pretty much exactly where the Hawkeye band was when they complained about being crushed in the crowd.

Clueless much?
