Unless the architects or contractors answer the question, no one knows because the renderings are inconclusive. With some type of restraining/safety fencing above/around?

I like this pic. This rendition has it's flaws though.Probably similar as before.

I saw the same. Thank goodness it's random.Who took over the cam? Weird random zoom angles during lunch break...
It did show a close up of the rebar that will take the tunnel walls all the way out to the walls that are already in place.Who took over the cam? Weird random zoom angles during lunch break...
Yeah, I have no idea if it’ll be covered or not. I’m just assuming it’ll be open based on the height of the rebar. I do think they like having the open fences to allow more kids to see the players come out of the tunnel. Also, I don’t think there’s an issue with people throwing things especially with it being the home team and not away team. (Maybe if the Iowa band gets lost again and wanders into the tunnel it could be an issue lol)I like this pic. This rendition has it's flaws though.
1) That fence can be easily scaled and fans could get hurt.
2) The gap takes away a lot more butts (and $) that could be sitting in the grass.
3) No chance of stopping fans from throwing things down on the players and coaches.
I'm thinking it should be covered. I'm not "in the know" so it's only my 2 cents.
This is a good photo that allows you to get more of the feel of how different it looks. When I drove by on Saturday. I drove down where tent row will be and thought wow this really has a lot more drastically different feel then what you can gather in pictures, especially the ones up close.
Looks to me like that rebar goes well below what I’m assuming is going to be the soil level, so I’m not too sure about that.Probably similar as before.

This. I took little JM to the WV game last year. We were on the opposite side of the tunnel as the players started to walk through the tunnel to JTS. This was by far one of his highlights to see the players up close (especially Brock). This was especially nice given the limited capacity so he was clinging right to black fence yelling. I know its a small thing but he would be pretty disappointed if the tunnel doesn't allow that anymore next fall because I am guessing he will be demanding that we walk over and do that again. And I absolutely don't blame him, as a kid I would of thought the same thing.Yeah, I have no idea if it’ll be covered or not. I’m just assuming it’ll be open based on the height of the rebar. There’s a whole stretch, from the gap in the retaining wall along the Jake past the video board support out onto the field, that it looks to me like kids would be able to see the players run out.This. I like the idea of #3, only on the east side ...I like this pic. This rendition has it's flaws though.

Because they’re in the process of building the new one at this exact moment, and we’re discussing the potential advantages and disadvantages—pending discovering which choice will actually be implemented.Fans have been able to stand right alongside the fence overlooking the open exit of the tunnel for years now, why is that concept suddenly a concern?
